interesting, maybe you can put up a video with defense against someone faster than you striking, because as in Sanshou I sometimes have trouble going pass opponent who strike me before I can close in for takedowns and uproots

Then try more training in passing the guard. Slow it down till you get idea ad timing, the speed it up again.
