Thank God for the loving and caring parents of Elise. She is a beautiful baby girl. We all love her dearly. Kudos to both parents who truly take excellent care of her.She has a darlibg sister called Eden. I am a great aunt who Elise was named for and I am truly honored. She is so beautiful. Im know it must be hard to deal with something like this. I am a 22 year old nursing school and a first time mother to a 15month old boy. I am lucky my son is very healthy. I do in home care for a 7 year old boy who have tay sachs. It was very hard for me at first and to this day it still is. I wish there was a way we could find a cure for it. Tay-Sachs seems horrible!the baby is normal 4 the first few monthhs then it goes blind, deaf, and unable to swallow. Then, paralysis sets in. other symtoms are dementia, seizures, and increased startle reflex to noise. They also get "cherry red spots in their eyes. there is 25% chance with each pregnancy that tda baby will have the disease :(

I read a story about a child named Evin.

His parents, didn't know that they were Tay-Sachs carriers. They had the testing, but the IDIOTIC Quacks that did the test, said nothing.

They said she didn't have the Tay-Sachs gene.

Well after Evin had already been Diagnosed, they found out, the Quacks had lied.

Go to the story, that is entitled "They said the baby was fine, he wasn't." Tell me what you think.

Every sence, I read the article, I can't stop thinking about this disease.
