@pcfxer my ranger a 4 cylinder? not hardly try a 4.0L SOHC V6 but yea the SER Sentra is a quick lil 4 banger not really happy with the price to own one think they can make it a bit more affordable?
From the very first model made to this latest version it still looks like grandma's grocery getter econo chitbox with a fart can exhaust (REAL FUGLY CAR), I'm sure i could smoke this $20k+ Japan sewing machine in a 1/4 mi. run with my Ford Ranger and with my bassboat trailer hitched to it too! LMAO
I love the somewhat subtle exterior sporty changes they gave the Spec V, when compared to base models. It's enough to distinguish it and make it look nice, but nothing that makes it seem like a boy racer... it looks more civilized
If ONLY, if only this car would have the vast aftermarket support as the Scion tC, it would walk all over the Scion. Maybe thats just my opinion. But we may never know...
i think edmunds has a good CVT se-r review... they actually praised it alot. i have driven one and the powerbands are excellent... but i still wouldnt trade my 07 spec for any other sport compact. it is the funnest car to drive i have ever owned. and the numbers are very respectable. i have even beat a volvo c30 turbo
@albertwlaw The thing is that most of reviewer are disconnected from reality. They think that everybody can afford a 34 or 40 k sport car.Even the civic SI here in canada is 6k more than the Spec V. For the price, the Sentra SER is a good sport car....
Jambi99 that is totally true. If I was in the USA I would definately buy one of their affordable sports cars. For example, 370z roadster base is 47k in Canada and only 37k in USA.
CVT SE-R fit the bill for our family. Fun, sporty, more HP than any other car I could find in that price range and it drinks regular gas. Other option was a Civic Si 4dr but it was premium gas and we didn't want to drive a 6 spd. We are buying a 350z roadster from USA soon but we are really happy with our SE-R.
As being a B15, 2003 Spec V owner with Skyline characteristics, I hated.. I mean absolutely HATED the new Sentras when they came out.
But I actually think they are damn good looking, I'm not sure why I thought they were so ugly. Most angles look good, stretched out enough to give it a mini pre-2009 Maxima look. Worlds better than a base model. And minus the oddly placed gear box, which doesn't look terrible, I love the interior. I'd love to be able to afford a new Spec V as another car.
Just got my first job, and I'm saving up for one of these now! My truck should qualify for air check texas, so hopefully I can get that 5k trade-in value.

@ECCCxMECH What's your quarter mile? The 4-cylinder in this is bigger than the 4-cylinder available in the Ranger.

This guy made this review boring with his monotone voice. The SE-R Spec V is a great car.

I was actually looking for the Sentra SE-R, not the Spec-V ... so this video isn't what I was looking for ...
