  • 4th part at 2:30 is so awesome

  • Does it use a tree for the reed?!

  • IT IS LITERLY A EARGASM. AWSOME. but question, any one of those saxes are contrabrass?

  • @MrPranoy no, contabass is much bigger. these are bass saxez

  • @jake66000 you could, you'd just have to transpose it

  • can you get this for bari sax?

  • @lauodvige nonsense

  • @lauodvige I'm pretty sure they know what they are playing more than you.

  • 1:19 great roll

     sounds like a guitar

  • all the comments below r funny lol. im a sax player and have been for neirly 7 years. this is hard stuff and to a real musicly inclined person, this sounds amazing. i play alto tenor and bari sax and i love this group. so yeah some of u these comments are rediculous lol. DEEP SCHROTT ROX MY SOX <3

  • you guys deserve like a million views and i give you ten stars **********

  • Since Tenor Sax is in Bb and so is bass sax, if i buy the sheet music for this i could play all the parts with a tenor?

  • @BaritoneSaxKing Theoretically: yes.

  • @dikajora Ok thank you very much, my school district doesnt have the funds to supply bass saxes so i thought i might use tenors instead

  • @BaritoneSaxKing yup and bari is Eb so is contra bass

  • @danny55531 yup, i play bari so i kinda have to know that :D

  • @BaritoneSaxKing u may have to jump some of it up an octave

  • @randywilson95 True

  • Is it just me or did anyone else hear the "clap, clap, huuhhh" at the end?

  • There's a reason they're the ONLY one of their kind......blehhhh! This is not right! Play pieces designed for this kind of sound, do not desecrate beautiful intricate melodies....please?????

  • @CattailsandRoses

People like you shouldn't be allowed to speak.

  • @CattailsandRoses So remind me who made you president of music?

  • @tehmonkey100 You see, I live in America and we have free speech ! You have the right to fill your ears and brain with this and I have the right to say EWWW! It might work as part of a soundtrack but really, in what other setting ?

  • @CattailsandRoses I'm not saying anything about what you can and cannot say; I am by no means questioning your right to freedom of speech. Doesn't stop me from being able to say your opinion is subjective and you shouldn't pretend to have a complete, definite idea of what are 'beautiful intricate melodies' and what are 'blehhhh!'. I frankly find this new take on Stairway to Heaven to be wonderful.

  • @tehmonkey100 All opinions are subjective...go ahead and listen to this all day long if you like. And don't snipe at people who have an opinion different from yours, OK?

  • @CattailsandRoses You say I'm the one here sniping at others' opinions? Where did I do that? And no shit all opinions are subjective. You, however, said something objective: 'This is not right!'. That sounds like you think you know exactly how music needs to sound, as if there is a standard you know to which this melody is not in accordance.

  • @tehmonkey100 Dear tehmonkey, Please..go blow it out your bass sax ! STFU-this is not important to anyone but you---I don't like this and never will--it sounds like a fifth-grader learning his first rudimentary songs--only a parent loves it and even then, only for a few minutes a day... That's my OPINION.. now hush up.

  • i hope that wasn't a curse word hidden in those five stars. -.-

  • incredible!

  • Bass is is awesome!

  • @dikajora, thanks for the help! I'll start taking a look into those brands.

  • Woow! Can you send me the sheet music of this song? thank you ;)

  • @fabpassi You can purchase the sheetmusic at deepschrott.de

  • I played it backwards and jimi page came out of nowhere and murdered my pet duck and then he just seemed to vanish in thin air...

  • 3 people couldn't handle the awesomeness.

  • sexy

  • This is a wonderful song for a bass sax quartet! I just love its flowing sound!

  • Amazing sound, and, I'm just wondering what's the difficulty difference from playing a tenor sax to a bass sax? I play tenor and bari and I'm thinking of trying out bass, and what would be a good brand if i do?

  • @bassman8194 Selmer or yamaha i would say

  • @bassman8194 We do NOT recommend Selmer or Yamaha. We recommend to look for an older instrument for a reasonable price, e. g. a Buescher or a Conn. They are a bit harder to play, but sound better, especially the very low notes. And that's what counts.

  • @dikajora for the sake of bassman, what about Eppelsheim? (since they also manufacture a contrabass sax)

  • @webwebwebby0 Eppelsheim is a very good company, we know them, of course. Expensive, though. But highly recommended.

  • love it! :3

  • this is some pretty deep schrott

  • if you play this backwards its satanic...lol

  • lol, the bass saxophone is soooo big

  • 3 people out of 14000 people that have watched this dislike it, that goes to show that this is a good video... and to the people who dislike, not to be rude but they should try to play this song on bass sax

  • Awesome!

  • Thats awsome, i realllly like it!!!

  • THAT PLAYER THAT IS PLAYING THE BASS LINE IS DOING WORK!

  • its gotta be an unfortunate feeling to have a bass sax and have to play in the tenor range anyway haha

  • :O ♥♥♥

  • One person is deaf.

  • @Asatru19 which one is deaf? i could see it being the one playing the actual 'bass' part because it's so low it would vibrate your whole body by practicing

  • @mindkilla123 Nah I was talking about the person that hit dislike. :P

  • it is a huge sax they could be circlular breathing

  • very well played, 5 stars

  • o.m.g i love u man your sax is mint i like it

  • Man, I wish my school had a Bass Sax. I want to play one!!!

  • The best bass saxophone playing i've ever seen! Wonderful job!

    -coming from a tenor player=)

  • Sound really good but there is a problem, since they are all tuned the same, there is no variety of tune qualities so in some parts it sounds weird. Other than that I really liked it!

  • this sounds very great!!!

    it's cool :D

  • just kool they should come to america and play in a concert!!

  • i really don't see the problem with puffing their cheeks as long as you play well it dosen't really matter to me and these guys are beasts

  • @NicChambers93 Well, you only have to worry about puffing cheeks when you first start anyway, just because it can alter the sound, however, when you get good with it if you find puffing your cheeks slightly helps your sound then by all means go for it, I do see a lot of professional saxophonists puff to some extent.

  • @NicChambers93 playing lower instruments is alot harder than playing higher instruments in alot of ways. My cheeks would be sore after playing bari for a full day. I try to not puff because that's just how I was taught.

  • @NicChambers93 technically its correct to not puss you cheeks, its to do with embouchure strength. but people complaining are just anal-retentive classical musicians that dont comprehend anything existing outside of their style

brilliant video btw, by favourite by you guys

  • @NicChambers93 I think people here will find that they know not what they are talking about.

It's often useful for instruments with big wind supply. For this kind of thing it's necessary for circular breathing. It's impossible to circular breathing without.

  • @NicChambers93 Well, Puffing out your cheeks can give you a louder sound without over playing, as long as you keep a good embouchure.

  • nice job really, you guys are great. You should try doing something a tiny bit jazzier, especialy with that kind of low base saxaphone, it would sound really great.

    ('>')

  • why are some of them puffing there cheeks?

  • Have a better look: it's not really the cheeks they're puffing. Apart from that, it's a good and necessary advice for beginners to not puff the cheeks. Later, it's also a question of sound and technique.

  • @Psp1000Fanboy its a big thing man...

  • wena

  • In all my 2 years of YouTube browsing and saxophone playing I've never seen that type of sax. It produces such an uber sound.

  • five stars *****

    thank you

  • Very good! Where did this event happen? Under a bridge?

  • In fact, this is a former "Schrottplatz", junkyard, now a place for artists and performers. And yes, some railway traffic and bridges nearby.
