Man i just stumbled across this show from Comic Book Club, and it's great. My favorite part about the first Joe the Barbarian is that we know that house perfectly we know exactly where he can go and how to get to the places he needs to go. with these first two issues grant and sean have got me really excited.
I agree with generaldark I just read Superman Beyond last Saturday and haven't finished the last 2 issues of Final Crisis yet. I thought Superman Beyond was epic and it was also one of the best Superman stories I have ever read.
I have to thank Jose for turning me on to Joe The Barbarian. I really loved it, the art was amazing in the first issue can't wait to see where it all goes
Have you checked sean murphy blog? in one post he explains what he thinks will happen to american comics in the future and what does he think will happen to it.
Yh this was an amazing book, there was an interview with grant Morrison on ign and you can tell his excitement for this book. Also Jose I agree that Morrison's is very hit or miss, it's strange most of his hits are my favourite book (xmen, arkham, superman, animal man) but his misses are the worst books I have ever read(final crisis)
The secret to undertsanding Morrison so called "misses" is a simple one.You must smoke the best og or bubba kush from Canada.Your mind will be working at 4d vision making his stories come alive. lol or anyways thats what i do.
A couple puffs of the magic dragon and Superman: Beyond 3D becomes the greatest thing ever conceived!
BTW has anyone seen the trailer for the new upcoming Grant Morrison documentary? They got some big names in there talking about their experiences with Grant. Looks cool.
I really liked the first issue of Joe the Barbarian and thought it would end up being the kind of book best suited for a trade, but you guys have me reconsidering. Sean Murphy totally deserves an Eisner nomination, he needs to become a super star.
I loved every thing about joe I can't ait till ther next

I got Invincible last week and it was great. I'm so excited about the Invincible Returns one-shot. Two straight weeks of new Invincible issues.

What did you think of Superman Beyond?
I feel Grant Morrison had a traumatic experience with boring exposition, and tries too hard to keep it out. (Even at the expense of the reader.)

We didn't get to it this time. We will probably talk about the Invincible Returns one-shot that is scheduled to come out soon though.

Morrison has been a big hit and bigger miss with me. I didn't not care for his BATMAN run or BATMAN & ROBIN.
But, Joe the Barbarian with Murphy, was a grand slam.
I have a question: Do you think that writers and artists do better with creator-own or mainstream when it some to storytelling?
Best,
~Roberto

Joe the Barbarian actually reminded me of the Imagination Land episode of South Park. I keep expecting Christmas Critters to pop up...
