I have a problem. I have a samsung drive, I have used JF 1.84 to flash the drive with bin 1.61. I know I have done everything correct ( because it still works), but i have tried backing up a game and testing it and It is not working. It keeps telling me the disk is unreadable. I bought a flashed XBOX and i have a few questions:

I really dont care about live and online so, can I play a game like Mortal Kombat without updating it? Because I dont want to void the warranty that it has left... I dont know what is the version of the flash (im a serious noob with xbox) but it plays the newest UFC and FIFA 2011 and Tekken 6, so can it play MK and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 without an update guys?

@WatchMyVidZZ P2P client to get the games, along with anything at all you want :) (Bittorrent, uTorrent). jungleflasher for firmware read/write, abgx360 for patching the games, imgburn for burning onto dvd+R DL discs and 7-Zip archiver, right click the rar file, highlight 7-zip, extract wherever

If you updated to the new dashboard, it has something called AP2.5 that checks if your DVD drive is flashed.If your 360 fails the check, it gets flagged and can't run newer games. You need to upgrade your 360 to LT+ firmware. The bad thing is, your 360 is now flagged, every save and account you play on the 360 is flagged and appears corrupt if you were to move it to other 360s. You can unflag them using a USB, but you need the right programs.

Don't play online, your flagged console will almost certainly be banned in the next wave. There's a way to unflag your console itself, but it involves messing with your nand.

Anyway i did not play online games . and if i am try to doing that i will use my computer to play online games . also ps3 work ok with the jail breaker if you removed the jail breaker you can play on line games with out any problems .

Its the space on your Xbox that is used to save dashboard updates and system stuff. If your 360 fails the AP2.5 check, it flags the nand. In the next ban wave, there will likely be a flag check on all consoles.

@JD4015 you can still do this even if you have the latest dash, updates, blah, blah, blah.... Only if you have the latest firmware AND PATCH the games CORRECTLY!! Some games need the AP25 Patch as well. And playing online is still okay to do as well.

@gangstamitch101 For the method your choosing with your pc, you must take it apart, which I have no experience what so ever in doing, I will use a laptop in the next few days, and a 10$ pcmcia card. Mostly OLDER laptops have a pcmcia SLOT, so you probably will need a 30$ pcmcia to express adapter, newer laptops have express slots

Well, downloaded games can have a malfunctioning file or may be non-verified (Downloaded before the game's actual release) and those are what most of Microsoft's ban sweeps look for. They also look for actual hardware modification, so if you just have your Xbox flashed (No hardware mods) they can't ban you. Playing legit games on a flashed console is at least 99.9% safe.

Im here to help. A hdd tranfer cable, is... this might be a shock, a Hard drive transfer cable (transfers memory between the hard drive) ..... what gives you the idea a sata can do that? It has nothing to do with the hard drive. This is all about flashing the disk drive, with new coding, to say "play burned games too". Thats why we have to take the xbox apart
