the issue was not with the pressout it was the fact that he was never in contorl of the weight and was never given a down buzzer. You can see it in his face that he knew he wasn't going to get the lift. Nothing wrong with the judging on this one.
After reviewing Kurlovich lifts even in the snatch, it seems that he has defect in his elbows, especially the right one, where it may looks like he has not locked, but in reality he did more than locking as the weight unbelievable fell below his hand level putting alot of pressure on his rest while he is trying to lock as much as he can. Judges, should be made aware of his condition and accepted the left, but poor guy was not credited for it.
I think its unbelievable, this man has been discredited so many times, had he been succesful on any one of them he would be ranked something like the 3rd best lifter of all time. Even later on, he managed to do a 477.5 kg total in my opinion at just 125 kg bodyweight, thats something like 493 on the sinclair scale... 2nd only to N. Suleymanoglu... bit unfair really... I was so greatful I got to meet him.
he makes other lifters look like shit

@felixhhu He didn't stand motionless with the weight. Alexeev had a balance problem on his 562, but got in in control and stood motionless.

I agree. I think they should also get rid of this silly press-out rule.

Tremendous clean! He was probably capable of 5 kgs more. The jerk, less than perfect. He always had a bit of a problem with his left elbow.

why wasn't he credited for 266 KG. Only Taranenko was credited for that lift in Australia 1988
