I love the original Russel Watson theme. Im a huge trekkie and proud, but im also proud to say that i think Enterprise has the best theme song going. Even the "In a Mirror, Darkly" intro sounds were brilliant.

But i always loved humming along to this at the end. It was fantastic and i nearly dripped tears while humming to it. Star Trek does that to me. lol

WOW! This music is gorgeous! Maybe it would've helped the entire show if it was actually the opening theme. I still think ENT was a pretty awesome show =)

I thought Enterprise was a pretty decent show. My main gripe with it was that the writers tried to wedge in shout-outs to the (chronologically) later seasons.

"This is the episode where they invent the Red Alert."

"This is the episode where they invent the food replicator."

"This is the episode where they invent the swiveling captain's chair."

I am not one to watch Star Trek, but this is actually a really fitting intro for a series about taking those first tentative steps into deep space. I like how it has that quiet, almost innocent optimism in it. But it could just be me.

For fans that preach acceptance, a lot of you keep putting down people that only watch Enterprise, I started watching it last year, it's the show that got me into Star Trek, and it's the only one I watch, believe it on not, it's the show that is pulling in the new generation of fans, so as much as you love whatever series you watch, just realize that when you put down Enterprise, your making us feel the same way that non-trekkies make you feel when you tell them you watch Star Trek.

I love Archer's Theme it says so much about him. He's kinda and compassionate to his crew and others but he's also strong willed.

He's one of the best captains on Star Trek... To me Enterprise is better than all that Star Trek "oooo look at me i'm so fancy and we never get injured we're the Federation!" bullshit. The other Star Treks have their heads up their asses but this one is so much more realistic.

@vardiss22 ...thks...i think some of Enterprise's slow start was lack of really good theme that fit the series...Archer's theme would have been perfect ....and followed the tradition set by DS9 and STV which had distinctive themes that still fit the Trek universe.

I think that Archer's Theme describes him so well... He's a man of authority but he also shows compassion towards his crew as a human being. Instrumentaly this song really describes him very well indeed.

One of my fauvorite star trek music it shares first place with enterprising young men.

second one is faith of the heart season 1&2 or the whole song from russel watson not from rod stewart , and then voyager theme...

That song makes me think about all adventures of enterprise and its crew and how it all finished too quickly, makes me cry and wish that it runed for at least 3 more seasons.

Enterprise always struck me as a show that could have been really awesome, but they never got the bits in order. They had some of the most memorable trek music since the 80s, and some of the better episodes all around in season 4...but they never got to make it right.

To those wanting an mp3 of this theme, this is the full version to Archer's Theme aka the end credits theme.

:48 to the end is what you hear in the end credits. Please don't debate with me like someone just did saying this is not it. I got this from the soundtrack itself.

People don't understand that there is a difference between full version and tv version of a theme song.

@AngemonRulez Hate to burst your bubble, but in syndication this full version has been used for the extended end credits. Possibly also the DVD. I remember hearing the exact end in this mp3 at the end of episodes numerous times in reruns on sy-fy.
