I think these guys might be in trouble due to the economy - Websites that normally stock their diamond sharpening systems are normally out of stock nowadays - even Cabela's. inquiring of those websites about when to expect more stock, they don't have an answer, either. Too bad; I was considering buying one of their diamond systems, but I'm not about to pay full retail from GATCO's website.
only problem I've had is sharpening my thin delicate kitchen knives with the shallow angle. When you do this the stone will hit the tightening screw on one side.
Great demo, I am thinking of one of these, good to know it has an extra coarse stone as I have a load of kitchen knives with ruined edges from years of sharpening in rubbishy ceramic wheel sharpeners...

ive got a lansky, and have used a gatco a few times, i like the gatco a bit better. The stones on the lansky are much thinner. Both work well though.
