Look, if you want to make up objectives, go ahead. No one in Israel had either objectives 1) To destroy hezbolla and 2) To take over lebanon. 1) Hezbolla also has a social network this can never be destroyed, I think the generals were smart enough to realize this, 2) Israel did take over the south and hezbolla did not stop them, yes they did pick off a few tanks and show the IDF that it was rusty, but the number of hizbolla operatives killed was huge compared to those of the IDF.
