I have an 1864 "Lincoln For President" campaign button I found in an abandoned house, in 1960.
I saw my button featured in a magazine about 25 years ago, in an article about presidential campaign buttons.
I think I recall my button (which is constructed of brass and has in inset photo of a bearded Lincoln) was referred to as a pin-back ferro type.
The article also featured a similar button from Lincoln's 1860 campaign, but he was beardless in that photo.
