I think if Cartoon Network went back to being wacky instead of trying to be "hip" with today's youth, it'd be a lot better. We want to see coyotes falling off cliffs and anvils being dropped on duck's heads, not dumb teenagers yelling obnoxiously, blowing things up and lighting themselves on fire during the CN Real lineup. Why is it inappropriate for animated animals to do those things, but real people can? Wouldn't seeing real people do that have a greater effect on children?

Looney Toons was first shown in 1930 up until 1970. You had to go to movie theatures to watch it because very few people actually owned televisions. Cartoon Network starting showing these in the 1990's because Turner Broadcasting purchased MGM's film library which had tons of Warner Brothers cartoons like Looney Toons, and later purchased Hanna Barbera and aquired cartoons made back in the 60's and 70's that were also shown as repeats on Cartoon Network.

Speaking of HB they are probably the reason for the Cartoon Cartoons themselves (Ed Edd n' Eddy, Johnny Bravo, etc) because they made a show for Cartoon Network called "What a Cartoon!" show that aired shorts of many different cartoons. Every single Cartoon Cartoon came from that show and HB had a hand in making all of it. Of course that isn't the same today which is why Cartoon Network now SUCKS.
