  • Whitney Houston and Jermaine Jackson have a version that is excellent too!

  • a beautiful blend of voice thank you

  • voices so refreshing like rain in the sahara...

  • really a nice song! luv it <3

  • xyzmikey2 posts some really nice videos. Thank you xyzmikey 2!

  • Anne Murray was my first love. Now it's Martina McBride. Both are such great voices and great personalities.

  • This sooo defines what I feel for the man in my life. It took 40 years to relocate him (when we first me I was 15; he was 20) I was too young; our lives diverted to different directions; I NEVER forgot him. Forty years later I found him via the internet; love and romance blossomed; he still looks the same! My heart still feels the same as it did when I was 15. But I love him from the perspective of an adult woman and he loves from the perspective of a man. THANK GOD I found him!

  • Anne is so amazing. This is such a beautiful duet.

  • Anne Murray is from Thornhill, Ontario, CANADA.

  • Love Anne Murray... bought her best hits on LP long ago, high school or maybe early in college. She's one of the few female pop singers who are true singers, along with Karen Carpenter, Roberta Flack, hmmm... I love Sade, but she doesn't have near the range or purity of tone. Anyway, cheers to all the lads with the balls to admit they love her and/or have at least one of her albums/CDs/etc.

BTW, I picked "Could I have this dance" for my wedding reception slow dance, the only thing I got my way!

  • She is such a turn on?//,pity about the vapid MOR she peddle,a root canal and ingrown toenail operation on the same day is less painful, but she is true metal, death to false metal,boink::{-0

  • Born morna anne murray in springhill nova scotia canada. i wonder when her parents named her, they were naming canadas, and the worlds future ambassador of peace. and an allaround DAMN fine songwriter. and first lady of perfect music Eh?

  • I love this song. Thank you.

  • I love this song. Thank you.

  • love the song..... )

  • @ xyzmikey2 I don't know how I missed this video ( senior moment I guess ), but it's GREAT!! Thanks for posting it!! I've added it to my favorites!! : )

  • Great song and singers , Thank you

  • Both amazing singers! Makes me have goose bumps all over. Thanks for posting this video.

  • Anne Murray and Whitney are both Angels...they both rock!!!

  • Dreams slip-by Angels sometimes. And we never know who held their eyes upon our lives. But I do not believe that Angels mean to fail us.

  • This is an AMAZING song. It was our wedding sond when my wife Cathy and I got married September 14, 1985. It will always have a special place in my heart :)

  • i don't like this shit.... a old woman with no passion and soul in her voice. She can't sing like the DIVA, whitney. Listen in you tube : whitney houston nobody loves me like you do san jose. Oh my God it was incredible

  • @rimbaud15 you are obviously deaf. Anne Murray has one of the most warm, beautiful voices of all time. Whitney is a coke addict and her song Million Dollar Bill she sounds like a troll on crack

  • @rimbaud15 Just to let you know, Whitney was once an exceptional singer. I do like her, but because of her drug us she is no long anywhere near the singer she used to be. if you listen to the most recent videos of ann you'll notice that her voice hasn't changed at all and she makes it look so easy. I also believe that ann recorded this before whitney. I also do not think that Whitney and Jermaines voices collaberate very well. Ann is classic and consistant.

  • @rimbaud15 if you don't realize Whitney and Anne are both old, but they both have great versions of this song

  • @jojoyoyo2006 except Anne isn't a druggie-sad to say Whitney got sidetracked by Bobby Brown

  • So Proud to say Dave Loggins is from Bristol, Tn. My Home Town. What a Talent! Anne Murray, The voice of an Angel! "GREAT DUET"!!

  • Lindo!

  • she is awesome , a wonderful singer

  • The best version of this song by far. Bar none.

  • I have been listening to Dave Loggins sing "Please come to Boston". I forgot about him singing this song. Love it.

  • Anne, you are one excellent singer. Seen you twice and both shows were beyond great. I always loved your songs and always will.

  • Absolutely beautiful!

  • Always so beautiful,so true

    too my wonderful sweetheart Bill

    Luv u today,tomoorow and always

    Great tune

  • I love you my wonderful man. Nobody has ever loved me like you do. I don't know what I would do without you in my life. You've made me so happy. I will love you for the rest of my life. Your Sweet Girl.

  • My Anngail, almost daily we find a song that seems to be sung just for us...this, however, goes right to my heart. How special it is, and certainly fits our finding each other again...how much like magic our love seems, every day and night. It is now my favorite song for us. How to say it better? I cannot. You are my inspiration, the love of my life. A big THANKS to XYZMICKEY2 for posting it. D.M.

  • GREAT SONG

  • LOVE ALL YOUR MUSIC

  • great song, i always shed tears on this song, huhuhu

  • Whitney has alot more power in her voice than this corn ball.... but its cute she tried.

  • @hegotazz614 Cornball? There are a lot worse names Whitney could be called, if someone chose to be rude and insulting.

  • @rvcrvc2 and you are entitled to your opinion..... take it as that.... like I said Whitney had a lot more power in her voice on this sone.....and not you got time in your life to go back through 2 months of comments to find mines...... Chile get a life TOOTS!

  • dave loggins looks like Will Ferrel.....

  • Comment removed

  • Anne Murray always and forever the best!!

  • Whitney who...Anne owns this..the originl & the best

  • Wow, I get chills when Dave opens up especially on the opening line. Beautiful!!!

  • long live anne murray

  • Great song written by Dave Loggins.

  • Thanks for this amazing post!

  • Always a joy to find anything by the great, reclusive Dave Loggins. One of the most

incisively brilliant songwriter/singers of his era, his unique talents are greatly missed

    by this particular admirer.

  • I don't think there is anybody anywhere that doesn't love Anne Murray.

  • love ann murray & dave loggins ( nobody loves me like you do)!!!!! will be haveing this song played at my wedding this coming new year....

  • five (5) thumbs up !!!

  • I miss Solid Gold!

  • Wow!! This is the first time I see the real duet, having only heard the audio track of it all these years.

    Simply beautiful...THANK YOU, xyzmikey!

  • Damn, this is awsome....I have too see this to believe these two can sing this so great....

  • Hadn't heard that song in years...and forgot how much I really like it! Thanks for posting. Dave and Anne look so young!! But I guess we all were back then. :)

  • Simplesmente maravilhoso!

    Ja favoritei

    *****

  • beautiful! anne's voice is beautiful!

  • Love to hear Anne Murray sing..What a voice

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs I have heard in my life. Listening to her music make me happy.

  • sjplwc Are you referring to Snowbird.

  • Thanks for uploading. It's beautiful.

  • When I was little kid living near Detroit back in the very early '70's, I can remember Anne Muray on CKLW (Ontario TV station from across the river) doing a commercial for Canada - she sang a pretty catchy little song promoting her nation (tourism, I suppose.) I think that was before she had hit it big here in the states.

  • I was words without a tune

I was a song still unsung

    A poem with no rhyme

    Dancer out of time

    But now there's you

Nobody loves me like you do Thanks

  • gives me goosebumps ...thanks for the fab share xxxxx

  • oh gosh, what a song, i totally love it. didnt know this version of it, but it's awesome, very expressive....

  • These two sound fabulous together!!!

  • Solid voice and beautiful ..... all the times

    limsh61@singnet.com.sg

  • Thank you for posting Dave Loggins!!! Anne is wonderful too, but DAVE!!! Man I love him. <3

  • Anne's such a sweetheart. I love her voice.

  • i love you karen

  • omg ever since i was five me and my grandmother listened to these song by her. she is a great country singer.

  • that dress reminds me of microbiology

  • Wonderful!

    Anne Murray has angelic voice

  • que voz heim? you needded me, tbm é ótima..........

  • more bear squeezing music !!!

  • i love this song......

  • Me and my 73 old wife make sweet love to this song.

  • i like whitneys version better

  • Two beautiful solo artists combine for an absolutely wonderful duet!

Such pretty lyrics, harmony, and music equals a perfect song.

Anne and Dave worked well together and have a performance to be proud of.

  • I can see him now, all those years ago, when I put this on the music system. It said everything I felt far better than I could done. Later, we ran away to Yorkshire and had a wonderful few years together until he got sick and died.

  • Great song !!!

  • a beautiful song sung by two beautiful voices.

And if I may, i've never seen dave loggins when he was young. HUBBA HUBBA!

  • WOW! Just awesome...

  • Dave loggins has a better voice than Jermaine Jackson, but both versions are great, and are done by great artist. to bad singers today are afraid to cover each other songs

  • AWESOME !!!! Love Anne ..great Canadian treasure and Dave Loggins....what a singer !!!

  • Anne is the real deal. Down to earth artist with an amazing voice. She will always be Canada's Snowbird.

  • @iverge I agree with you, because her songs touches my heart so deeply with her soothing voice.

  • Anne's songs are WAY better than whinney houston. Anne is in Canada where she is from.

  • whitney houston knows how to ruin good songs. she did it with dolly parton's "i will always love you" by screaming her way through it. dolly's version, i feel, is much more heartfelt and touching. Give me voices like anne's and karen carpenter's...rich and smooth...and no headaches afterward lol

  • I couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks!

  • Whitney Houston definately turned out to be a "deciduous act"; and even though she still has a small loyal fan following; she is hardly getting promoted these days. What's worse, she is too old for adult contemporary and some stations still feel she is too young for many classic hits stations for "the oldies" (though I disagree as it's been 25 years since her first album, many of her early songs blend nicely with the 60s-mid 80s standards).

  • @vampy60 um you're wrong. haha sorry. but Whitney is fabulous

  • @SeniorGuy07 Anne trumps Whitney in all categories (except drug use of course)

  • @vampy60 Ann is amazing, but what the hell does her being in and from Canada have to do with her being better than Whitney or not. I can;t believe 29 people agreed with such a stupid comment.

  • It is just me, or does this song by Anne an Dave sound so much better than Whitney Houston and Jermaine Jackson?

    Just my opinion.

  • Yes, it's just you.

  • @WWAHP Well, I can see that anyone who would list TESTING THE NERVE as being their favorite Youtube video probably is a musical connoissuer and virtuoso as well.

  • @1974bubbie

I just listened to the other duet, and altho I love Whitney, I have to agree w/ you. Anne has such a warmth to her voice. I love her!!

  • Puxa fiquei arrepiada !

O que é bom fica pra sempre !!

    Lindooo !!!

  • You picked the right one at BELMONT

  • This was My wedding song My X wife and I had gotten to see Ann Murray in AC New Jersey about 6 months before the wedding she sang this song and we danced. To bad the marraige didn't work Kid if you ever read this. Your always in my heart. To bad your mother ruined us

  • I believe Anne had a farewell tour in Canada in 2008 and is retired after many great years of performing.

  • wow, I've only heard the whitney n jermaine version, this one is just as good! Happy I listened to it

  • i so love this song.. i will make sure this will be sung on my sister's wedding..

  • The Wonderful Anne Murray! So many beautiful songs.

  • I wonder where Anne Murray is today? She always had such a lovely voice.

  • sonia from algiers:i love this song i think that there is no feeling in song nowadays ..so butifull song thx to anne!

  • Love it :)

  • Just wanted to comment how country and soul music are so compatible with eachother that a song can be written end up being performed in both styles. I guess its because they are both american styles of music. In my opinion, no where else in the world is so much feeling put into music than in the United States. That is one thing that makes me proud of where I live.

  • Is this guy related to Kenny Loggins?

Who originally recorded this song? I thought it was Whitney Houston & Jermaine Jackson, but I never heard it sung by someone else so now I wonder.

  • Anne Murray/ Dave Loggins had the original on 1984's Heart Over Mind. Whitney recorded another song from that same Anne Murray album "Take Good care of my Heart" but Anne sings both best.

  • Stunning vocals from Anne Murray on this classic!

  • Still a stunning beautiful song after all these years. Thank you, xyzmikey2!

  • Lindo, so tenho isso a dizer, lindo....

  • The more I watch this, the more I come to recognize what a good performance Dave put out, here. If you didn't know better, you might think that Anne was guesting on his song.

  • bullshit...she is awesome

  • Always liked Dave Loggins. One of the all time greatest songs.

  • Anne Murry is so beautiful.

  • Beautiful song! Anne and Dave are great singers. I love Anne Murray....she has an incredible voice- deep and big.

  • Never dreamed I'd favorite this - just thought I'd surf through - but I did

  • a very nice song

  • Anyone know if there's a live version of this with these two where they're not lip synching to their own song (like Solid Gold and American Bandstand does)?

  • Somewhere, there has to be a recording of them performing at the Grammy Awards. They were nominated for best Duo performance.

  • any idea what year?

  • they sound so good together.ann murray is a beautiful women.

  • this song never even made the charts......what gives?

  • This was THE song husband and I danced to at our wedding in 1985.

  • It went #1 on the country charts and #10 on the adult contemporary charts.

  • of course it did. it was # 1 on the u.s. "country charts" during the spring of 1985. but played alot in canada also at the same time...

  • Whitney Houston and Jermaine Jackson do a great version of this.

  • I have both versions and could never decide which one I liked better.

  • I have always been a fan of Dave Loggins.

wow - where is he now???

  • I swear I haven't heard this song in ages! Great pairing and a definite blast from the past in the Solid Gold reference :)

  • wow xyzmikey2 - where did you find this video...classic song!!! THANK YOU!!!!
