Man , my britney spears generation is despiteful . Im born in 1992 , and i shall always love EWF ,cause nowadays theres only commercial music , and in their time ,there was MUSIC, only .

college 1976, slow dancing with my wife to this, pretty sure it had something to do with daughter #2!! Love these guys, I got turned on to a lot of soul, r&b and jazz in the early 70's by the black guys that got drafted with me. Sure hope they did ok all these years, we went thru a lot together.
EARTH WIND and FIRE has been and always will be one of the greastest bands in the world.I was turned on to EWF in 1974 when station at Camp Pendleton while in the USMC.The Brother that turned me on to EWF was a Marine by the name of Alexander.I love EWF music.Good bless Maurice White and the rest of the guys.
You folks ain't said nothing but a word about EWF.....this is it. Young folks, your heads are in the wrong place and what you call music is NOT. Listen to this and take notes.....
You just can't duplicate this music, the attitude or the belief in the sound that this group produced! It's genuine and pure from the soul...leaving an everlasting glow.
These guys have more talent in their little fingers than most modern musicians will ever have in ten lifetimes. Love that their voices sound just like they do in their recordings, with no mechanical alterations! That's how it used to be, kids. REAL talent - not manufactured.
EWF -- especially songs from this album -- is the closest thing to gospel music that the secular music world has. Positive messages about love and unrivaled musicianship. Happy birthday Reese...your physical presence may not be with the band anymore but you're still the heart of this amazing band.
Look kids, No DJ on stage, no drum machine, no pants on their asses, and no tattoo's all over their bodies! EWF has REAL SINGERS, have GREAT lyrical content, musicianship, AND are PLAYING instruments! (Johnny G on that solo), Verdine ALWAYS brings that funk on Bass, Freddie on drums, Larry, Phillip, Reese, Ralph, Andrew I mean WOW! ( I didn't forget you Beloyd) NOone can TOUCH this band, ESPECIALLY this line up (Al was gone and Roland was back). Line em all up and NO BAND can touch this band
@Bassplayershadow2023 give me a break dude. i might like your comment if you didn't say that stupid shit at the beginning. Are you seriously one of those people? Get with it. Nostalgia is boring

They were the best.

This is when those funky White boys Maurice and Verdine jr., and their friends are at their soulful best. This is why I think they're The Best R&B Band Ever. If you disagree, YOU are an idiot. Just listen to them, and you'll see.
First let me say... I was born in the 70's. That being said, I went to a HBCU and played tuba, so The Elements were played all the time. I don't think there will be a band of this calibre ever again...
At 52, I am moved to tears by this song: I have the memories of hearing them for the first time, blaring their music from my apartment in college in the 70's, seeing them in Philly for the first time...
Maybe we just were not as much--- into personnas as much - then, able to let go and just have a good time? We weren't so concerned about opinions because we grew up during many different revolutions fighting to express our truth -- No facebook. Music reflects the consciousness of the generation that creates it - so what the --- happened?
you got that right this music is magical brings joy to my heart and soul its sad that we dont have this kind of music anymore this new generation dont know nothing about real music thank you for uploading
I worked for a Cable Comp. in Vegas & was helping with A Live-feed & got to meat the Band & also got to Play A couple of songs (Drummer) with them . They are the Greatest bunch of Guys (Musicians) I have ever had the pleasure to meet > Thanks E,W,&F .
My fav R&B album of all time...my parents played it over n over...i was only 9yrs old...Maurice and Philip are amazing together and i love Verdine holding down the low end on that Fender Jazz Bass
People keep telling me I'm stuck in the 70's and 80's. No wonder. Nothing today compares to this band or this music. Nobody does it better than EWF! Thanks guys.
@tajsports10, Amen!!!! if stuck is the word of choice, then im guilty also. The music of yesteryear is worh holding on to because real soul and R&B has been traded in for just hip-hop and pop. And we know Jazz and blues has been forsaken totally. An instrumental only "jam session" like in this video is impossible today because who plays or showcases their instrumental talents anymore. No shame in being stuck in the 70's and 80's music, it was just better
@tajsports10 I guess I'm stuck as well. These gentlemen are music at it's best, cherish their music and legecy. Thank u Mr. Maurice White for your vision and your voice.
@tajsports10 Tell those people to "f" off if it's a problem for them.....Ha,Ha...I am with you.I can never get enough of them, the beautiful memories of times when music and people were real......love earth wind and fire still........:)
Rap and Hip Hop "Artists" today should be forced to view this video. Perhaps then they will be able to grasp just how horribly their generation has dropped the ball from a musical point of view. Black musicians - as in the kind seen in this video - brought the world some of the best music we will ever know. What a shame that most of todays "popular" black musicians have been reduced to shouting mindless profanities over computer generated loops.
I saw them when they were an opening band to Glass Harp, a band in Youngstown, Ohio that never made it...........I played "House Of Fire" as part of my wedding music........seen them at least a half a dozen times or more.........LOVE THEM....and appreciate this video and all posted! Thanks so much!
This was the song that went with me every beat of the way across the Atlantic on my first trip to Africa in 1979..a dream I had had every since I was 4 years old. So, for me, it really was a celebration. Every time I hear it, I think of the feeling of the airplane wheels leaving the ground and knowing that I was at long last ON MY WAY HOME!
I love Earth Wind and Fire,Ilove Maurice White and all band, forever.Yours big fan from Slovakia Frank.Thank you very much EWF.You and my family are reason of my life.
Oh, you gotta love it - straight up Old School. They just don't do it like this anymore, folks. Live instrumentals, live vocals, live harmony, timing, tempo, rhythm - all tuned by nothing but pure talent. These guys were masters of the stage.
Will music ever return to this level of perfection? I seriously doubt it. But, I do hold out hope, that sooner or later, some young group will study the ways of the Old School, and revive a classical method for producing such music again.
@TigerGrumman Great horn sections, great vocals. And they're still on the stage with aes over 60. Without Maurice they are not complete but they're the best R'nB-Funk-JazzRock group ever.
Check out their Live At Velfarre album as well to hear different versions of their hits..
@TigerGrumman Dude you are right I hope and pray but don't know if artists today have the integrity to work hard enough to reach this level of awesome, makes me sad to say it but ha "Thats the way of the world" today

This song always makes me feel so good !! My uncle (RIP) was a huge Earth Wind fan...I grew up (born in 81) Listening to all of their records.... on vinyl. True talent and timeless music. This is one of my favorites from them... I love it !!
EWF, represents everything good about AMERICA. Maurice White deserves the
highest honor and acclaim the nation can bestow. The music brings people -TOGETHER. AMERICA-listen up. We need to get together-Black,White,Red,Yellow,Brown and Green - and solve our problems-TOGETHER.
For...Divided We Fall . God bless America.God bless EW&F !
I think the people who got to see this conceert are the luckiest people in the world. This and Gratitude at this concert are the best songs ever. God bless EWF and the genious of Maurice White.

This live performance and of Gratitude are my all time favorite performances of any songs. Ever. You can tell they love what they are doing and it flows to the people who are watching them. If i ever need to feel good all I have to do is put in any EWF album and everything is alright and I give Gratitude. Thank you EWF.
5 PEOPLE DON'T KNOW THE WAY OF THE WORLD! The 5 people are Tha Bibster, Lady Gag-me, Lil' Wench, Soljah Fag and Be-yatch-ce Knowles!! REAL MUSIC RULES
My very favorite from my best-loved band. I used to beg my Dad to buy records for me when I was 10-11 (Spoiled little suburban girl) It wasn't his genre, but he'd buy the EWF and not others; guess he knew what was good!
@JuliaFitzgerald If you break it down, i don't think any era had the best music than the 70's , 70's hands down to me had for some odd reason the best music ever created out of any decade. There's other good music from each decade, but the 70's i think had the most overall by far.
Much love for sharing a great live clip from one of the greatest live acts ever performing in my opinion the single most beautiful song created in R&R, R&B, Soul, Blues, Jazz. Saw them in the 70s when I was just a kid. I got chills seeing this clip & remembering the show! Those missing music w/heart, soul & musicianship check out Incognito you'll be glad you did! I dig music across all genre but c'mon, Maurice set out to make spiritual music to unify us. Here is it's perfect moment. Peace!
I HAVE SAID IT MANY TIME BEFORE AND WILL SAY IT AGAIN. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER EWF! THIS IS THE GREATES BAND IN THE FREGGIN HISTORY OF MUSIC AND ANYONE THAT DOESN'T GET THAT IS DEAF (AND I MEAN NO OFFENSE TO THE DEAF). MUSICIANSHIP, PRESENTATION, HARMONIES, SONG STRUCTURE, PROGRESSIONS, MELODIES WHAT THE FUCK? I DON'T WANNA HEAR ABOUT THE DAMN BEATLES THIS AND THAT. NO BAND, AND I MEAN NO BAND CAN TOUCH EARTH WIND AND FIRE. PERIOD!
And I am sick and tired of rolling Stone magazines and their like with the quote unquote "greatest guitar solo's" and they NEVER mention this solo by the GREAT Johnny Graham! Pisses me off to the nth degree. They should just call it what it is, the greatest guitar solo's by whites with a little Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry and BB King sprinkled in. And they never give Al McKay any love on the "greatest guitar players" list. SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Bassplayershadow2023 AMEN BROTHER!!!! It would be physically impossible for me to agree more with you! That tired, self-important, over rated rag of a mag is, has been, & always will be worthless. But I don't count color barriers when listing favorite musicians. Where music is concerned it's stricly one love...
@MrDrummer222 They were an extremely talented group. I had several of their recordings over the years. They have a unique harmony. You get the feeling watching these videos that they enjoyed what they were doing. May their music live on. Just listen to their lyrics and you don't hate and anger, but rather love and things that are good.
That's what means "to believe in what you do for living"
you can do any kind of job, the most important thing is to make it like nobody else: you must be the best (as my father used to teach me)
E.W.& F. did it better of all... sorry for the today generations, so sorry.... because they must live into a music world made by revivals, copyes, and bad stuff very far from the original!
What a leader!

This live performance and of Gratitude are my all time favorite performances of any songs. Ever. You can tell they love what they are doing and it flows to the people who are watching them. If i ever need to feel good all I have to do is put in any EWF album and everything is alright and I give Gratitude. Thank you EWF.

My very favorite from my best-loved band. I used to beg my Dad to buy records for me when I was 10-11 (Spoiled little suburban girl) It wasn't his genre, but he'd buy the EWF and not others; guess he knew what was good!

30 years since this was recorded and hands-down still the best music today.
Timeless classic.
JuliaFitzgerald 8 months ago 41

PERIOD!
Bassplayershadow2023 9 months ago 3
And I am sick and tired of rolling Stone magazines and their like with the quote unquote "greatest guitar solo's" and they NEVER mention this solo by the GREAT Johnny Graham! Pisses me off to the nth degree. They should just call it what it is, the greatest guitar solo's by whites with a little Jimi Hendrix, Chuck Berry and BB King sprinkled in. And they never give Al McKay any love on the "greatest guitar players" list. SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bassplayershadow2023 9 months ago

But that's the way of the world.... hehehehhe
