I just came back from my vacation to Vegas, went to Freemont to watch the light show, got a bonus while there, being able to listen to Carl and his beautiful sax playing abilities....I was just mesmerized by his music, a very talented man, I didnt find him at all unfriendly, he worked the crowd as any great performer would do!!! I will most definately buy the rest of his CD's, and listen with great joy!!
I was in Vegas, first weekend of June to visit family. My sister took me to Fremont St and as we approached the corner he was at, I was so impressed with his music, I bought both his CD's right then and there. He wasn't talkative or working the crowd when I was there, he almost seemed unfriendly, but he may have been tired and at the end of a long evening. I think he was saving his energy for his music. I played those CD's all the way back to L.A.!
I went to Las Vegas on Labor Day weekend *2008* and I was able to listen to him jam before the Freemont Street light show began. He's just as good as Kenny G. I was thinking of grabbing one of his CDs but being I'm in a wheelchair and there was a HUGE crowd everywhere ... I wouldn't be able to pass through safely but he's really a talented guy and whenever you stop by Vegas you gotta go see him on Freemont Street. I Loved it !! :D

He has been playing for Freemont Street for 11 years. He has opened for Foghat and Edgar Winter back in the day
