I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old DOHC Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree

did it die...what fucknard would even ask, these cars are tanks...except their light and fast and handle incredibly. my buds got a 73gtv and i have a 66 duetto, 6500rpm no prob,
There once was a stupid Dutch boy, with more money than common sense, who spend all this money in buying a ivory white 2000 GTV, and crashed this beauty 3 weeks later.
In 1979 a 1975 GTV (one of the last ones ever made) costed me F. 5.500.
Nowadays a simular car in the same condition would set mel back more than E 10.000. My wife would NOT like that and neither would my bank. Haven't got time nor space to restore a classic car.
I love this car too. And I have to sell some used parts. For example left and right door, all glasses, interior : complete instruments ,classic with chrome ,carburettor weber complete
how come cars dont look and sound like this anymore, this car was good on gas to, now were stuck with the smart car and the stupid nissan leaf

How mechanically reliable are the GTVs of the late '60s / early '70s?
One thing's certain -- they have a beautiful exhaust note.
