  • Hi Dogforahat,

Yeah I am, And the BK117 is a beautifull machine, very smooth ride,

Now as for the other guy im not to sure but just the way he has written it so yeah, we shall see what he means if he comes and posts a comment.

  • I don't mean to sound like an ass or anything but I know alot about the Otago Rescue Chopper which is set up exactly the same as the west pac rescues. and there us NO way and i mean NO way they could even be able to raise up that easly let alone fit everyone in the chopper there is just not enough room and the chopper would be way overloaded. Me thinks your telling fibs mate

  • Hello Kingi82,

I see that you're a soldier, so you will have heaps more experience of this kind of kit than me, but the Westpac rescue website says "The Service's Bell 412 and the BK117 twin engine helicopters are based at Broadmeadow in Newcastle are on call 24 hours a day."

I think mills1166 means that the bloke who collapsed on the rocks had 5 ambos, all the life guards, and the chopper attending the incident. Not all of them in the chopper.

    Cheers

  • Good video

  • i was there...this bloke collapsed on the rocks when he was rock fishing....he actualy died on the spot but they got 5 ambos all the life guards n the choppa...SUP
