my all time favourite song, this song and "Found Out About you" have been so relavent to me over the past 10 years. lines like: you can trust me not to DRINK and not to sleep around.. and if you dont expect too much from me you might not be let down It was only a few yrs ago i researched Gin Blossons and learnt about Doug and to be honest I truly wept. Im only 28 now but I rekon we would have goten on well if I knew Doug.. maybe we will have a beer in the next life. RIP Mate.

I shared many years (from 1981 when I first ment Doug until his death) of drinkng and music with Doug. I now consider him one of my "Guardian Angels' (song he wrote while he was in the Pistoleros). Did you know Doug?

To be honest, I consider Doug a guardian angel of mine too, although I never knew him personally. His songs, both musically and emotionally, strike a chord in me (no pun intended) that has not been matched by any other musician. May he r.i.p. You're one lucky person to have been able to know him.

It as thru them I meet Doug and Bill Leen at Merlins about the time the plug was pulled on Moral Majority. I was a regular at the Psalms and early Gin Blossoms shows. I'm sure we've been at the same bar/party before maybe even shared a conversation. Ask Bill or even Jesse they may help you remember me.
