  • THere, the Dalai Lama points out that Love and Compassion are the higher levels of aligning oneself to the universal energy. To learn how to use these to acheive an awesome AWAKENING goo.gl\VRdap

  • Yoda ?

  • Money can buy happiness, but it cannot cure sadness.

Money I think, provides a very materialistic feel of comfort, however, if you are upset, for example over an unrelated manner like the passing of a loved one. Money cannot make you feel better, yet compassion and kind actions can. Compassion has the ability to both obtain happiness and at the same time provide us with cures to our every day troubles.

  • @MikeGaraz... Can't help chuckle at your comment :)

Well said...BUT?! kind of funny? Very dualistic reference, it is interesting...BUT, confusing, the way you put it :)

Practise compassion, the Dalai Lama Say's.

People don't get it, he says.

The world, as a whole, has not transcended into compassion.

Thaks to the powers that be, we have humans who are 'Getting' 'Understanding' and 'Practising' the level of compassion and of course even beyond, evenmore elevated levels/realm Thy Kingdom come

  • 狗日的,还不回国接受人民的审判

  • Bless his soul. What a jolly man

  • does anyone know an on-line stream link for the whole movie? or a torrent link? thanks

  • no bird stay in the nest waiting for food thats true, but they always find what they need to survive

  • who has ever seen a bird dying of hunger?, who thinks money is the happines, it's because has never tried getting hapiness without it

  • The true Master Yoda in action!

  • He is so wise, and yet so humble. And more than that, he talks with so much certainty, and emotion. He is a man to be admired~

  • THIS MAN IS A FRAUD

  • im alone im always jerkin off. i ran out of money.i sit on a chair for 8,5 hours in my work to make money and money is not good.despite all of these i should be happy rigth? tell it literally mY ASS.LITERALLY say it to MY ASS. MY FUCKIN FLATTENED ASS SITTING ON A CHAIR FOR 8,5 HOURS NOW FUCK OFF!!

FOR EVERYONE WHO SPENDs THEIR FUCKIN MONEY ON BUDHA SHITS I HOPE UR ALL GONNA DIE BECAUSE OF STUPIDITY. INTELLIGENCE ,TALENT (so skills) good Relationships happiness they are all about chance!

  • @esraretin You're a troll!

  • @wvonelovechick1 my ass hurts

  • @esraretin Good relationships and happiness are all about chance?

Man, here I was thinking they were about you going out and applying some scrutiny on how you regard the people you meet and how you cultivate your life.

I guess I might as well just sit on my ass for over 8 hours a day and do nothing to adopt and attitude which might allow me to live more comfortably, since it's all about chance and I have no responsibility to myself.

  • @Ebvardh i ve been workin for 3 years .when i dont get a good sleep at nigth all my day turns out to be a torture at work.im thinkin that how could it be possible that a person always sleeps at 24:00 and gets up at 07:00 ?.i couldnt even sleep when i get stuck on the idea -i have to sleep....i would be definitely happy if i didnt have to work in this way.im sure its same for billions of people. ok im ok with it but just let them sell my weed cigarettes at the corner .they say nooo!

  • @esraretin So, what you're saying is that your work makes you miserable, and you feel stuck in it but see no chance of leaving it? And it's too hard for you to keep up with a daily working routine?

  • @Ebvardh yes but i have to work beside this im not handsome and more im not smart so they are all about chance to me

  • @esraretin Well, it sounds, and correct me if I'm wrong, like it wouldn't do you harm to work on your self esteem a little.

I'm just saying that if you think happiness and friendship is something that just happens and not something that you can achieve with work, you might have not focused enough a getting those things.

  • @Ebvardh u sound like a good guy.just believe me on that some people are just lucky some are not. its the way it is. actually i dont even take relationships seriously because i usually have nothing common with them.i had drawing talent ,i was interested in physics but my parents werent capable to encourage me on drawing(its also useless job if u are not very very talented).and my father prevented me from studying physics when i was 20.i was ok with being average physicist at university

  • @esraretin I believe know some people have terrible things happen to them.

I assume that mostly everyone goes through some shit, and some have it worse than others.

I'm just saying it might be better for you to face how you feel about it honestly instead of going "well, I'm just the kind of guy who doesn't care if he's lonely".

I say this because I do it sometimes myself and I start thinking very negatively. And if I think negatively, on top of having shit happen to me… Well, I'm fucked.

  • @Ebvardh later i left electronic engineering (i just couldnt do it my understanding took longer time than they expected) i became a civil servant.i work in archieve of university now.

  • @esraretin Have you ever tried to take a career guidance test?

Maybe you've been trying the wrong careers for you.

  • @Ebvardh definitely im 30 now years has passed.im in wrong place in wrong time.

  • @esraretin So, I guess you might as well give up…

I mean, if you want to say it's not your responsibility and not within your reach to change your life, you might as well accept that's reality, right?

  • @Ebvardh imagine a hungary person in africa there is no such a thing good job for someone ,u earn it or u cant.u know wht dog trainers say there is no obsession in nature.i just couldnt manage

  • @esraretin But I'm not talking about a hungry person in Africa.

I'm talking about you. And about something very concrete, which is your responsibility with yourself.

  • @Ebvardh thats why psychiatry clinics treat patients like they are animals.

  • @esraretin I've been in psychiatrists before.

I don't think there might be much of any other way to treat you, in retrospective. My point remains the same.

If you act like you're fucked and think like you're fucked when the world treats you like fuck, you are fucked.

    It's not that complicated.

  • @Ebvardh watch?v=0UOOkS6vJ1s&feature=related

    even for john nash 1:36

  • @esraretin I don't want to, man.

I'm sorry if I sound flippant, but I refuse to believe that whatever you have to say about your life is condensed into some video of whatever.

That whatever responsibility you have with yourself has be relegated to a fucking stupid video that was made by someone you probably don't even know.

You might believe it, but don't try have me believe that such a situation exists, because I happen to know for sure that if you think productively, you will be productive.

  • @uilium Do you really think so?

  • yoda.

  • he never said not to make money but that money alone does not bring happiness. I think.

  • 0:23

  • he sounds kinda like yoda from starwars

  • I strongly disagree! Money does bring you inner peace and happiness. I believe that money brings you joy and happiness. Life is a long hard struggle without money. Money can buy you lots of things! I am always happy when I have money.

  • @Djones2011ful Not everyone is always happy when they simply have money.

I think that what he's talking about is that you should not stop trying to learn what really brings you unhappiness even when you have money.

    Money provides for material needs.

Emotional happiness shouldn't be dependent of or conditioned by material goods.

There is a different between your body being happy and your mind being healthy and balanced. You should to attain both.

  • @Ebvardh I understand what you are saying, but everyone is different. I mean money brings me happiness all the time. I can live alone by myself with money and be happy. It simply provides so much that empty pockets cannot! I disagree with the Dalai Lamas comments on Inner peace. There are many people that do not belive in God or a higher power. 1 Million dollars will certainly bring me inner peace. I do not understand how having what you want, will not bring you happiness.

  • @Djones2011ful I am in no way meaning to offend you with the following comment, and I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but my perception is that you may have a bigger behavioral and emotional problem than what I could discuss.

This is in no way a reflection on you as a whole, but I am expressing that I do find the general attitude disturbing, and that I don't perceive that as being the norm.

  • @Ebvardh Let me ask you, what is disturbing about wanting happiness(Finacial success) I am lost for words because I have always experienced happiness through having money, vacationing, buying nice cars, living lavishly, etc. Is there anything wrong with this endeavor?

  • @Djones2011ful Not at all. I find nothing wrong with being receptive to the feeling of reward, but when you say that your happiness is dependent on it, it's the kind of relationship that usually turns toxic.

Look at your statement, but replace money with anything else: Food, drugs, a relationship.

Imagine a fat person saying "I need food to be happy".

  • @Ebvardh Well, I say this, I am a skinny person and I need Food. My wallet is skinny. You see, everyone in society knows that Money can aleviate alot of unwanted stress, and financial shortcomings, etc. I really understand what your point is, but I cannot be happy without living freely financially. I would bet you anyday that Rich and wealthy people would never trade places with a poor or middle class person. Thanx for your comment.

  • @Djones2011ful You're welcome.

If I may add something, I was always told by my parents that you don't come into life to "be happy". You come into life to seek happiness, and to have happy moments, but being happy is an illusion that will get you no where.

  • @Ebvardh I beg to differ. I am not saying there wont be unhappy moments, because I have certainly experienced that!! I do believe that you can be very happy in this life, but it takes more than just being here and existing. I do not want only exist, but I want happiness also. I am a person that can be happy with material things.(Finances)

  • Beautiful!

  • is it just me or does he sound like yoda

  • @dwarfhobbit i thought the same thing last night. he must have been the inspiration for yoda. there has to be some connection haha

  • There is a very interesting movie that really points out what he's trying to say it's called Blow , released in 2001 as far as i remember , based on real events , i personally recommend it :)

  • You H.H. Pease long live this world

  • Anyone else that think´s about Yoda when watching this?

  • @Tobbin92 I do :) But then, Mr Lucas got a lot of his ideas from Buddhism, so that explains a lot too :)

  • I respect him.

  • @Djones2011ful by far the most ignorant things ive ever seen on here. Money is nothing but paper we are the ones that make it seem much greater than it is. They use to only make money for the amount of gold now their making more and more the value of a dollar will do nothing but continue to go down. Now a days we are doing everything wrong we possibly can. Think bout it how long can you possibly put a price on everything in life? If your depressed when your broke reconsider your values

  • I love how he talks.

  • I strongly disagree! Money will bring you more happiness! I am sick and tired people saying that money does not bring happiness. It brings me so much happiness all the time! i het being broke. Being broke is a sign of depression. I would rather die than be broke.

  • @Djones2011ful Ignorant. You will die depressed with values like that.

  • @jzilla9 I dont think so!

  • @Djones2011ful Money won't last forever bud. The world could have drastic changes. The economy could crash. You never know what might happen. You need that inner peace instead of you're materialistic values.

  • @jzilla9 Why the hell would a God create something and then not allow us to survive? Damn! I am lost when it comes to logic these days. People are always saying that money isnt everything, but yet when we get it it makes life much better. There is no logic to your statement, Mam or Sir?

  • @Djones2011ful Lol, you would think "God" created money.

  • @jzilla9 Whoever created it, only allows some people to have it because I dont believe that everybody will be well off. I believe that certain people are lucky enough to have Wealth and Riches. A regular 9 to 5, is not going to make you Wealthy. I certainly wish that someday I could experience Wealth, for a change. I am not greedy person by any strectch, but I just want to experience it once in this lifetime. Thanx for your comment.

  • @jzilla9 Please read Ecclesiates 10:19. Money is the answer for everything!

  • Finally subtitles... please more subtitles in Dalai Lama videos!

  • His voice sounds like Yoda's

  • His voice sounds like Yoda's

  • Accept that you will never be as cool as the Dalai Lama.

  • Dalai Lama. I am buddhist I admire so much his personal of peace words (Brazil)

  • Having money doesn't make you happy.

But have no money can make you unhappy.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia a preoccupation with money will not bring happiness. however we all need money to survive. and also i think people like bill gates, warren buffet, and most celebrities don't deserve their money. we need to be giving more money to africans and to other people in need.

  • @ajhrockerboy6 Bill Gates changed the world.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Bill Gates is only interested in donating his money to his own charity which has an agenda to de-populate the world through toxic vaccinations

  • @crisisofconsciousnes Good. Overpopulation is a big problem.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia who told you that?

  • @crisisofconsciousnes Scientists.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia the same scientists that say the planet is warming because we are releasing too much CO2?

  • @crisisofconsciousnes Yep, i get my info from scientific journals. Not from youtube videos.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia the same journals that say we are still looking for a cancer cure?

  • @crisisofconsciousnes My brother's wife does cancer research for a living. The key is early detection, if you find it early you can fight it off for years, in many cases remove it all together.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Hemp oil kills cancer cells, but they can't patent plants. The whole cancer industry is making billions and wants to protect that interest. Tell me, have your heard of Dr Burzynski?

  • @MoldytoasterMedia A health immune system will fight cancer off, which is always present in minute amounts, indefinitely. The key to prevention and sometimes cure is diet, Gerson therapy.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia But tell me how much nutritional studies do doctors, or did your friend do through college? The answer is, around 2 hours, maybe one lecture. Again it's about money, selling pills

  • @crisisofconsciousnes So you think the pharmaceutical industry pays money to every college professor in the world, and tells them what to lecture about? lol

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Not every Professor, it can be done far further up the ladder than each individual professor. This is not some crazy theory, these very companies are known to give money to colleges, hence the colleges teach what they are told, no questions asked, or the funding stops

  • @crisisofconsciousnes @moldytoastermedia No need 2 argue/judge as that is unconscious.. but going by "your youtube indentity" and a few of your comments I would say crisisofconscioness is more conscious in his arguement

  • terrorist with a monk presence

  • @xzh1magick no

  • A wise man can see more from the bottom of a well than a fool can see from a mountain top.

  • dalai lama is probably quite rich and that's what makes happiness, not some empty words about compassion or other nonsense, however these empty words can make person rich. I admire him so much.

  • @Taoi87 His personal wealth isn't great.Only 2 sets of robes. His words are much more full of wisdom than your silly ones.

  • Dalai Lama was clearly talking to the 1%

  • @rufiel6rahteih the 99% percent in America still are better off than people in other parts of the world.

  • @apeironishome everyone can say that about his own country my friend

  • I understand it. Thank you!

  • all of this arguing in the face of wisdom. try to find fault with this man. is he coarse, egotistical, dry, or overbearing? are his words controversial? will $1,000,000 give you friends and family and inner peace? no way! does he say that God plays no role in our lives? no. and in the christian bible, God helps those that help themselves. listen to this great man, don't limit your world to Christian thinkers. Jesus was an open minded spiritual leader, remember.

  • You notice that everyone that "Believes in God" and is a "Christian" is bashing this guy, judging him, and tearing him down. That's definitely a good thing to do I'm sure. Most are way too stubborn/arrogant to even watch this guy. Peace.

  • @Baseball2Nut I am a Christian and I think he has some useful things to say. But God comes first ultimately, and in that comes happiness, along with doing what Mr. Lama said.

  • @EdwardNygma1 What you call God is the same thing he calls inner peace, that's what he means. It's the same sort of happiness, just from a different source

  • @dewduldrawe He doesn't mean that, he made himself pretty clear.

  • artist?..god?..in your mind maybe

  • i doin't like this...he think is a god

  • @MrPmcri what do you mean?

  • we don't care what mother fucker chines pigs says,,,, the whole world respect him, people on this world is not bland,,,

  • What a fucktard full of bullshit... die MFer

  • @NuckFiggers100 fuck u nuck, ur parents will die fast and going to hell sooner, bitch:(

  • difficult not to care about money in a world where money rules most things.

  • You ignorant bastards here.

If you knew anything about Buddhism, you would know that Buddhists aren't self-glorifying pigs. Buddhists stress heavily on the "self" and attaining inner peace, but they also heavily stress helping others with individual enlightenment.

Much better than starting wars with your "space critter" type religions, don't ya think?

  • @cubsnbears17 Shut the hell up.. they're all dirt butt, ignorant idiots. There is only one God where they believe in some fantasy ass idiotic god with unrealistic traits,

  • @NuckFiggers100 How can Buddhists believe in a God if Buddhism in a non-theistic religion?

  • I didn't need the Dalai Lama to tell me that. Even Biggie knew... Mo money, mo problems.

  • He's like a Yoda with a mix of Indian and Chinese fob accent. ULTIMATE HAPPINESS! :D

  • shut up! stupid monk!!!!!

  • For inner peace: please give CIA back their millions of dollars

  • you are ur own master.(dalai lama).

  • The Dalai Lama is truly amazing. He inspires so many people, including me, with his outlook on life. I have always thought of him as this powerful and intimidating person, and although he is powerful, I recently just watched a documentary that showed him in a much less intimidating way. The film, My Reincarnation, depicted him as a much more relatable person, yet still captured his holiness and immensity. bitly . com/ s5zUz e?r =b b

  • He's talking about Satanism. Doing for one's 'self' and not for others.

  • @MrVirtualCoder But in Buddhism there is no "self", plus you're an uneducated idiot oblivious to other religions, knowing nothing of them.

  • @tracefleeman Oh, look what we got here.. You're the one who's brainwashed into believing that Satanism is bad. Hah, i have no opinion on it. I was merely stating the truth.

Buddha himself said to give after for ones instincts, or along those lines. This is IDENTICAL to the doctrines of Satanism, moreover, the church of Satan.

  • @MrVirtualCoder I don't think of Satanism as bad, before becoming atheist I was an active member of the Church OF Satan, Anton LaVey was a great man. But he means being Compassionate doesn't just benefit others, it benefits HIMSELF, also. In order to reach Nirvana, the state of ultimate peace. Please, no trolls.

  • @tracefleeman Haha, ironically enough, there's a doctrine within Atheism that states that "all 'good things' a human does is in his own favor". Well, I'm not quoting it, but that is what it says, sort of. And it is identical to the Church of Satan, as well.

  • @MrVirtualCoder Atheism is hundreds of years older than Satanism, hundreds if years older than Christianity.

  • @tracefleeman No it isn't. Atheism, the religion of believing that Theism is false, was formed in old Greek time as nothing but a minority, not even a religion, but then it later developed to a religion. Now being a religion in disguise.

  • @MrVirtualCoder

That definition would be called antitheism or countertheism. Atheism, just means "no god" it doesn't necessarily mean "No god with a bad attitude towards god, jesus, and all their wacky pals.".

But keep in mind that the words do not change what you believe, and that telling someone that they believe something they don't cant possibly be ever correct because they know what they believe better than you do!

  • @Sophesumer Do your history!

  • @MrVirtualCoder Enlightenment,Mahamudra is innate. Once realized the "awakened" can effectively teach by example. Would you ask a person who is usually mad for advice on how to become truly happy? Of corse the Dalai Lama practices what he teaches on himself/others. When you dedicate merit to others, as a result, your personal effects are enhanced. Very common practice of taking and sending in Buddhism. I do not think thats Satanism.

  • I wish donald trump would listen to u.....respect for his holiness

  • Yes Dalai Lama, that.s the point!

  • Dalai Lama is brother with Yoda :)

  • The Dalai Lama is a very interesting person and I’m excited to see what he says in the new film “My Reincarnation”. The film looks like it’s going to be a very personal journey for the subject and it also looks really entertaining! bitly .com/s5zUze

  • @mustlovecinema is he talking about his connection with the CIA?

  • Well I'm talking about by practicing compassion God will be pleased.
