  • Thank you Gary for this information. I'm in the market for Omega 3. During my research, I found out they come in different dosages measured in mg's. Most have a higher EPA than DHA while a few have the opposite. One had DPA, Omega 6 and Omega 9. What dosage would be best suited for a 47 year old male?

  • great video,,,where can i find those pills...am from Kuwait,,,do u sell them in Kuwait?

  • First of all fish oil supplements are a processed food !and they become Rancid on the process . all fish is contaminated with MERCURY and PCB ...want to be healthy grow your own food and dont eat process foods my great grandmother died when she was 105 and she didnot take fish oil and no vitamin pills !! people are lazy to cook so they eat garbage ! and sit on the computure and on the cell phone getting emf radiation . and wonder why they have cancer or high blood pressure !

  • @lion1green no body cares about your grandmother dawg.

  • thought this was mercola lol bad

  • Flaxseed oil is a great Omega 3 source, but consuming the actual flax seed is much better for you because it has that additional fiber and cancer fighting lignans that the flaxseed oil leaves out. And since you can't just eat the seeds they need to be grinded up which can be hard and annoying to work into your diet. But there is this chewable Flaxseed tablet now called FlaxFit that has all the benefits of the grinded flaxseed powder in a chewable tablet form. Check it out....flaxfit.com.

  • thanks!!

  • why does the human body need animal oil. fish spoils after 20 minutes from being taken out of the water, the oil breaks down the meat. why would we eat fish oil. why not cow oil, we eat meat, as much as we eat meat, cow oil help us die faster. why not add suger to fish oil, maybe you could sell more of that.

  • @picturefish40 because of the nutrients

  • i take the brand called " Finest" fish oil, i wonder if that is any good?

  • No reason to take flax seed oil....its not converted into high amounts (~3%) of omega-3 of the type important to humans (DHA, EPA)

  • check ur inbox i sent u a message

  • New Chapter's WHOLEMEGA is the only brand worth looking at. Seriously.

  • @druwin no way! its nasty i chewed one of the capsules and i gaged! i heard is made out of fish heads and skin not the actual body of the fish as they say. besides salmon is endangered. they say is a good source... well were are they getting it a farm? in that case it would be more contaminated with very high levels of heavy metals.

  • this guy rules

  • What if I consume organic flax seeds directly. instead of just guying the oil?

  • You'll need to grind them first. Note that the oil goes rancid quickly, so you'll be grinding them daily.

  • I've never heard of the brands he is talking about. Not sure on where you would find those but Omega 3's are VERY important for overall health but more specifically for brain and heart health. I even took a supplement (Neurovi Omega 3) while I was pregnant because of the DHA it contains. This is a very informative video, good job!!

  • These brands are available in New Zealand (Google "Gary Moller Waihi Bush Flax Oil" and you will find them). They can be delivered to places like the USA, no problem; but I am not really here to sell you product but to inform.

Have a look at my video about "solar keratosis". I have now sucessfully eliminated all of my troublesome sun spots jsut through diet. I will be doing a followup video soo to show the difference after working on them for the last year or so.

  • an american diet seems to have alot of vitamen E already in it, what with vegeitable oil, and meat, ...

if your diet caontains alot of vitamen E do you still recomend getting the suplament as well?

  • I think we need to differentiate between natural and synthetic vitamin E. Avoid the synthetic stuff.

  • which kind of omega 3 oil would be good for weight lifting?

  • i take fish oil capsules, would it be better to take it in liquid form? I've read that its better to take in liquid form i'm not sure if its true or not.

  • The liquid would have a better EPA and DHA concentration, but the same level could be acheived with capsules.

  • With all these oils, if you can get a good quality one and you can tolerate the taste, go for the liquid. Capsules are always much more expensive.

Flax oil is delicious and the only forms I sell are in liquid - bottles.

  • The problem with flaxseeds is the Omega 3 oil is poorly converted into EPA and DHA, the two most important forms of omega 3. Only about 1% is converted in men and about 10% in women. Neptune krill oil and fish oils that are free of mercury and other toxins are the best forms of omega 3 because it is already in the form of EPA and DHA. Neptune krill oil is especially good because the EPA and DHA is very readily absorbed.

  • Thanks a lot for this video, excellent advice!!

  • Looks like you're really into nutrition. Omega 3 is an important supplement. You've provided some good information. It's great to see some one else really contribute. Well Done
