i think the medical staff said that he had a charley horse on that left leg. i'm not sure how difficult it would be to play with something like that but apparently it hurt him enough to keep him out of the game. as captain, he sat on the bench because i think he knew that it was not wise to be out there and face datsyuk and zetterberg in the condition he was at. that would of put his team at the disadvantage. and i think a decision like that, self-sacrifice for the team, makes him a good captain

Cleary you didnt see him get hurt, then try to come back out, the pain being so bad, he couldn't continue, He had to end his shift. The fact that him being out there would have hurt the teams chances at that point, made him decide otherwise. Thats a DAMN good captain!

I would pick Crosby to build a hockey team around over any player in the league. He's got the talent and a complete game at both ends of the ice, plus leadership and a contagious sense of competitiveness and work ethic. He is the complete package. We wouldn't have won without guys like Fleury and Malkin. But it was Crosby who took the country club atmosphere in Pittsburgh and flushed it down the toilet. Now you can't argue with the results as Cup champs again, youngest Captain ever to do it!
