Choice of music being EVE music = Win.

I honestly listen to EVE music while I play X3 instead of it's music. Sometimes the X3 music is good, but I don't like how it's all merged together, like how that annoying music plays when you're docking, etc.

this is a great game... altough it lacks players (its not a multiplayer game) its AWSOME with all the ship types. and just to add a small mod like new horizon makes it more plesant to test every ship:D

im shocked... x2 had built in cockpit functions but it takes an update or mod for that function in one of the most expansive universes in history,aka X3.

"expansive universes in history" last i checked a single solar system in Independence-War 2 was about twice the size of all of x3's star systems combined. and the sad part is that game is eight years old now and still out preforms the x-series in every way expect the trade and construction aspects.

and this my friend is whats the X-series are all about int the end. It´s a large, free Economic Simulation with some Story to get used to the Game.

Problem with that logic is station management, construction and hubing and Fleet management is half assed in design with the hopes of open source development(mods/addons) fixing this issue. The problem with this is it allows the development team to openly cut costs and halfway design and balance. this wile promoteing a large moding community allso cuts the overall release quaility of a game in half for those who have no desire to mod.

I found the station managment with lots of stations a pain in the a** too but the community made some pretty good scripts to fix that. You have to keep in mind that Egosoft is a small software manufacturer compared to others in this genre. The best advantage from X² to X³ were the sweet graphics and the "Complex-System" that allows you to combine Factories to huge Facilities.

Unfortunately the placing of Factorys to make the "Complex" look good was a pain in the ass also:-(

Simple just press F2 and use the number keypad on the right to rotate. Its a shame they didnt put a good tutorial for newbies as they did for X2.

If you're really bold, you can fly down inside those openings in the conical section there, shown at 0:51 and park in like a "Cage"

What's crazy, is that this is on the lower graphical settings, and it still looks pretty cool.

This is probably the best Space Sim ever.

I still love the X-Wing/TIE Fighter series, but this is better. Lucasarts needs to get off their kiester and make another space sim, esp an open ended one like this.

heres something fun, get LV's hceats, go to sim bonus scenario 1, spawn a bunch of capships, and have them of opposing forces so they start shooting each other, with fighters and stuff, and try to fly through all the GPPC fire XD
