Something I think is missing from the world of celebrity now are the experiences that she talks about. Not saying performers don't go through a lot to get to where they end up, but it's so clear where her humility comes from when you hear all of the experiences she had in her early career. So often people don't seem to earn their place anymore, they're simply marketed and as a result so many of them seem unappreciative of their opportunities. But not Betty. I love her. She's a class act. :)

Never get tired of watching Betty White on Password and Password Plus reruns....but I never cared for The Golden Girls or The Mary Tyler Moore Show.

Betty hasn't aged that well, but at least in 1997 her voice hadn't changed yet. A few years later it did unfortunately. She doesn't sound like the Betty I know and love anymore, but she still cracks me up: her role in the Sandra Bullock film this year "The Proposal" was funny! She was also amusing in her recent guest role on "My Name Is Earl".

You should have seen her character (the Happy Homemaker, if I remember correctly) in the Mary Tyler Moore show. There her character was so mean but put on a happy face for her tv show her character did (a tv show within a tv show). She was just brilliant in it as she is in everything she does.
