I went to Guyana in the year 1999, and it's a great place for eco tourism! Guyanese people are lovely too. Georgetown is the most interesting city in my opinion, but you can visit it in a day or two. The weather is damn hot though, and see that I presently live in Brazil, that is also hot.

@TheFunnyGuv to be honest georgetown looks quite run down and scary, just look around the place the buildings are decaying, not put it down, but Ive been told georgetown is a very very dangerous place especially at night when u MUST take a taxi for going everywhere, that's in case you value your life. Some guy told me that during his trip to georgetown he never saw any caucasian/european over there and that he was constantly leered by as he walked past the crowds.
