Also As I Lay Dying is a full christian band, note the band does not sing about religion or anything related. They are signed to Metal Blade Records which is the same company that Black Dahlia and one of the most famous death metal bands, Cannibal Corpse are signed to.
Examples of metal musicians who are religious Tom Araya(Slayer), Dan Spitz (Anthrax), Nicko Mcbrian (Iron Maiden), Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), and I'm pretty sure James Hetfield (Metallica). If you didn't notice thers a musician that is religious in each band of the big four.
I guess they were kind of asking for the controversy booking at a place like that. But then again "concerned" parents always like to take it a step too far and scrutinize the band(s) about everything, especially in metal.
