Finally watched this lame movie, this adaptation should never been concieved, the original one with Errol Flynn is a lot better than this in every way. Kevin Costner Robin Hood was terrible, but this takes the cake as the worst Robin Hood movie that exists today.

He looks almost exactly like his character in, "Gladiator." Is the writing world so barren that they can't find a new story to spend millions on? How does this writer present yet another Robin Hood story to backers? Tiresome no matter who the actors are. I'm expecting another Sherlock Holmes or Pink Panther movie to come out soon. I have to point out that the trailer is chock full of cliché captures that have been statistically shown to draw attention, but aren't well placed at all. At first, I'm given the impression that I'm watching a horror/suspense, which confuses me because I am not used to a Robin Hood story that is frightening. Then I see a lot of heavy combat without explanation as to why they are fighting. Oh, it's another one of THOSE movies, I think to myself.

I don't think I'll be seeing this one.

Fighting Normans what huh ? They are the Normans  ...England was conquered in 1066 by the normans 150 yrs prior to the time of Robin Hood which was around 1200 AD . Richard the lion heart spoke french, VERY LITTLE ENGLISH and was a decsendant of Norman kings . Robin hood was of the conquered anglo saxon class and english speaking .

I'm an American & I have always seen him fighting in the crusades. Hollywood does fuck some things up, but Remember, Kevin Costner was Robin Hood & he had an American Accent in the last movie. How can he have that accent if he's an Englishman?

Also this is my heritage, and i want the closest representation possible.

And if they want to make money out of good stories there are plenty with out having to keep ressurecting this one and adding falsehood's and historical confusions. They didn't blatantly confuse any of Jessy James' historical fact.

It's silly how some people think no one can ever make Robin Hood (or any other movie) differently from what they "grew up with". How BORING if all the stories were only ever interpreted one way!

With that said, I think it will be fun to see what this movie will be like, but for me, Kevin Costner and Alan Rickman will be hard to top.
