IS there really a definition?
quicktime can use the images you take in full resolution, just put all pics in a folder and tell it to use sequence of images, then essentially you get your timelapse in HD ;)
its a camera function on the n95. you just open up the camera and in the option bar you click on the little rectangle and choose your time between shots. then get time lapse software and your done.
