what would be really innovative to do for the noa is to include incredibly high tech weapons such as lasers and claim that it's a new mysterious power has emerge and have something besides fairies to rely on.

or you could have something similar to the fire move in OoT(the thing that makes a huge orb of fire around you) and call it magic. Thus allowing a whole array of new fighting strategies against bosses and possibly in pvp games. Each dungeon can include a new weapon and spell. 50 dungeons!!!

That's why nintendo doesn't want rush things with this one. TP footage shown at E3 2004 was very early material. Zelda Wii will come within a year from E3 next year and u can count on that.

That patent is probably for a prototype that was never completed but they wanted to patent it anyway. Nintendo's patented things before that never came to fruition, even games (a "Pokemon WaterBlue" was actually filed by Nintendo years ago when the gen 1 Pokemon remakes came out on the GBA, but of course the game's existence was never proven).

I heard that most of the zelda team other than those key developers are working with the mario galaxy 2 team, and that the new zelda will be created primarily by RETRO STUDIOS. If this is true... I think you're right. Lately it seems like Nintendo has been mixing their teams up with alot of the big hit titles. Retro studios has some new zelda antiques in their conference room that they didn't have before, so that's a big hint. The outcome of not just zelda but metroid and mario too will be pretty different than usual. The gameplay of the new zelda really sounds like a huge focus right now.

I don't have a Wii but i'm still always looking forward to next big Zelda title. Motion Plus sword fighting sounds neat idea, but this waggling board thingie sounds pretty creepy way embaressing and something you don't like to do when there's people around.. hrrr.. And for people who doesn't even have a Wii it will be damn expensive trip - console + game + motion plus + waggling board + ???

I just hope they do this right and don't think too much about dollars.

All of my theories so far have been right, so unless you are able to prove one of them wrong, I consider unfair your offenses. NO one really knows when the next gen in consoles will start. Some have even thought that this gen is the last for the home consoles and it would last all the way to 2015. Sony and Microsoft have said that their consoles have 10 year life span which backs the long life cycle expectation.

But as the the Wii is clearly underpowered it might be that Nintendo going to launch a HD version of it in the coming years (expectations range from late 2010 to 2012).
