Some states/areas make it illegal for property owners to collect rain water! That's right, the rain that fall on YOUR land doesn't belong to you. Go figure!
Update: Germany has banned Monsanto GM Corn (genetically modified corn), apparently it may be linked to all the bees dying off.

Colorado makes it illegal to collect rain water. I have also heard Spokane, WA has a law against it.
