I remember the commercials before the "Go see Cal" campaign. It was 1974 and they sang a song that went, "Worthington Ford in Long Beach, Worthington Ford in Long Beach; San Diego Freeway at Bellflower Blvd."
Not just in So Cal. He was up in the Bay Area too, where I grew up watching his ads. I was always eager to find out what species Spot was gonna be next. :)

If I remember correctly, this is the commercial where I learned the unfortunate truth that it is "Go See Cal" instead of "Pussy Cow".
