  • I got both versions of Excel Gel. Classic and Color&Style.... and it's really great!!! On the channel 4everAEG there is a stain test for the Actilift feature... And actilift really works!!!

    GOOD VID!!

  • what i would do if you have a 7kg hard water and heavy soil is also fill the outerside of the cap to have a propper full cap

    GOOD VID!!

  • How annoying is this machine? Same as the Hoover, it does trial and error with the amount of water for the wash. That's 20 minutes wasted. Why can't they let us decide how much water to wash with?

  • I Totally agree, let the user ajust the water level in the washer

  • some aussies wash in cold not all! lol

  • hahahahahahaha. your vidio views total to less than a third that this has alone. oh yeah and 2 friends. hahahahahahahaha. asshole, cocksucker

  • @whichwasher2007 Ignore that cunt above...

  • i got the bio one today.i really like it.

  • im so bOrEd! msg me! my id is in my youtube profile! o

  • It is getting sudsy

  • My gran uses this soap!

It recommends washing at 15, not cold.

    My gran washes at 40,50,60

  • yea but tap water is 20 anyway and on my washing machine there is no 15 on it!

  • they are working on models of washing machines with 15deg temp option and improved cycles for this.

i have to admit tho even with this gel i would Not use 15deg or cold because it doesnt clean properly i dont know how aussies can only wash in cold its just disgusting. stains are left and so are bad odours. yuckkkk

  • When are they making this machine, what brand will it be??? The minimum I would wash at is 30-Cold is not good!

  • im not sure probably hotpoint. but it will probably mean tap water temp. the new temp should be called excel gel LOL and if youre using that then you use that temp hahaha. i read this somewhere so they will probz make new machines with cold or 15 whatever. i cant stand using cold though its horribly disgusting!!!!!

  • true

  • 2.20 quid is sainsburys what a rip off i have been using it for bout 3 weeks now and i find it really good !!!

  • With all the respect:

-Washing in cold water does NOT remove bacteria from your laundry. Underwear, towels and such NEED to be washed a at least 60°C in order to remove a great part of the bacteria.

-Constant washing at 40°C or lower is really bad for your washer. The motor bearrings are suffering and the drum will become full of bacteria and mold. If you wash in cold water for some time, you'll find that your washer starts to stink.

    -Whites WILL get grey.

I'll stick to boil washes :)

  • I know u will because that's what works for u. I was pleased with Whichwasher2007 for trying something different. I'll stick to my normal detergents at 30ºc and 60ºc as they work for me.

  • No, it doesn't only work well for me. It's recommended that all washing machines should have a boil wash at least once a month, to keep the washer clean. That's even recommended by Ariel, not that they tell you!

I regularly use 40°C and 60°C, because 95°C isn't very economical. But all washers should do a boil wash at 95°C once a month, and please, NO constant washing at 30°C!

  • Ps. How do you think the old AEG got so stinky? Because of constant low-temp washing and constant usage of liquid detergent (via the drawer)!

Ps 2. I also find it cool that Whichwasher2007 tried something different; I just wanted to make clear that cold washing is fine for once, but permanent cold washing is not recommended ;)

  • yes and constant liquid detergent use will clog up because there is more fats in there. and Hot washes all the way.

  • That's good. I use 30º and 60ºc like I said and there is the occasional boil wash at 95c. Thanks for replying to my previous comment.

  • i agree with EVERYTHING you have said. I can Not wash in cold it doesnt get out stains or bad odours at all i dont know why aussies only use cold its horrible.

and thats true we do at least one 60 or 90 a week and our machine is all clean and no odours. also it is healthy for my machine too as it cleans out the pipes etc. and actually kills germs on the clothes. thanks

  • £1.88 in Tesco!

  • Hey Matt, I was wondering, how can the hotpoint wt960 clean the clothes when the water is below sea level O_O honestly, I'm in Macclesfield now, some place in the UK, and I'm in a house... it doesn't look like a house, and I bought the same one as yours. Just one thing... how can the low water level clean the soil out of the shirts??? also, when I put in a small load, my washer went so loud, I could feel the vibrations with my feet :S any help??

  • that stuff is the shit!! bargain in asda only 2 quid!

  • what the ariel is £2 in asda. the ariel in sainsbuys was only out for 5seconds and was allready reduced from £4 to £3

  • yea bought it yesterday cos i am having some dodgy rash from persil so doctor suggested trying other stuff and there was a massive bargain banner out.. and it was the cheapest lol

  • It won't get grease stains out if you use half the dose. I don't have the Febreze version, but the bio and colours with 35ml dose and 40*C brought dark and white loads up as clean as you can all stains removed.

  • i thought that half a cap would do for that small load. i think thier claim, wash as low as 15'c, might be a bit vague. but like i say in the decription, i might need vanish to get rid of some stains. or mabey i should have put the cycle on for longer. it may work as low as 15'c, but may take longer for the enzimes to work properly

  • yeah, I would have done the load with a full dose still if it was stained. It's worked for me on loads of stains and that's in a variety of commercial washers I've had to use and our Miele machines back at home.

Vanish is a marketing scam - it's does nothing a decent dose of bio powder won't do :-)

  • vanish works very well i find, i only put half a scoop of vanish crystal with my whites, (the tea towels are compleatly coverd in all types of stains) and it removes all of them.

  • yep, but no point paying £3-4 for a box of vanish when a decent bio powder or liquid will do without the need for any additives :-). If you need to use Vanish to remove stains then you need to change your detergent or use more of it.

    Jon :-)

  • It got a little bit sudsy - I saw some foam in the window. Can u tell me about the rest of the cycle please - but it wouldn't have sudslocked. There could have been a waterlock on the spins though. Apart from the grease stains, how well did the gel wash? Do u think that it would get very sudsy in a high water level?

  • well that was the main wash cycle you saw. the rinse was not sudsy as the load was small. and had a deep rinse
