@daddyg321 "Innocent" according to whom? That's a very loaded term since by the Bible's definition nobody is innocent (Rom 3:23). And there are many cases of the Bible directing the Israelite people to kill others simply because their beliefs were different (Deut 13:13-19; Deut 13:7-12), killing non-virgins on their wedding night (Deut 22:20-21), killing somebody for blasphemy (Lev 24:10-16), killing children for their fathers' sins (24:10-16). Need more?

I agree with everything Hitchens said. He doesn't come of as a bitter alcoholic but rather as a sensible humanist. The one about the cell phone, is certainly tongue in cheek. Who hasn't fantasized about walking across a crowded room, snatching a cell phone and crushing it under foot. If I can hear your phone call, you're too fucking close to me; go to the washroom or outside, you thoughtless bastard. As an alternative we could continue to participate in the death of good manners.
