  • I have used Humalog (not human) and Lantus. They both hit like hammers and had no duration. I import pork insulin from Canada and it works much better for me. I prefer the natural insulin. Look at the ingredients used to make Humalog and Lantus. I think it will surprise you. I've had type 1 diabetes for a long time. I will not go back to the sci-fi insulin again. It was dangerous for me. Most doctors follow the pharmaceutical companies advice and do not listen to their patients.

  • I've just been changed from Novorapid to Humalog, from my exprerience novorapid works a lot better for me.

  • i use basal and bolus but befor that lantus and novorapid

  • @rainshadow00 - No, you can't. This drug is pretty serious and only for people with diabetes. You have to get it from your doctor. Or at least with a prescription.

    ... I think. Lol..

But I know you can't get it w/o a prescription without it being illegal. xD

I take Humalog and Humulin N!

  • @Catley214 A lot of diabetics are importing the natural pork & beef insulin from Europe & Canada, because you can only get rDNA human ( not human) insulin in America now. You don't need a prescription to get insulin in Canada, because it is an over the counter drug. Even Eli Lilly said that rDNA human ( Not Human) insulin wouldn't work for all diabetics. Please read " INSULIN:AVOICE FOR CHOICE"

  • can u buy this over the counter without perscription...?

  • you can tell it is a pharmacist because some of this is wrong or incomplete

  • i use humalog and lantus

  • @IvaHogue Me too....

  • @deanjean71 I agree, porcine and bovine insulins are much safer then the synthetic analogs we most commonly use. Synthenic and designer insulins all lack C-peptide as well, which is in porcine and bovine insulins. The jury is still out as to whether c-peptide being absent has any real affect tho.

  • Most people prefer pen needles. I like syringes myself.

  • Humalog does not closely resemble the body's own insulin, because it does not contain c-peptide. This lack of c-peptide makes Humalog an incomplete product. Type I diabetics suffer painful peripheral neuropathy that studies show could be avoided or reversed if their insulin replacement products contained c-peptide.

Because Humalog does not contain c-peptide, diabetics suffer the consequences of neuropathy, nephropathy and retinopathy in spite of tight control.

  • Wtf why not comments?
