  • Great song - but I hate the video. So 80's - thin ties, white suits, etc - looks so out of character for him. But there is a lot of cowbell!

  • ah--love this song and the video. Dan was so talented and so good looking!! This is a great song and should have been a number one hit but dont think they promoted it enough!! God--still miss him so much!!!

  • This song was only number 11 on Billboard on April 1984 and I don't even understand why, because it's excellent.....I love it!.Rest in peace Dan

  • Doesn't the smile at the end knock you out..???!!!!

  • The bass player must have been a Star Wars fan because I can't think of another logical(sorry!) for him to be dressed like Luke Skywalker.

  • Another awesome use of the cowbell in a song. Eat your heart out BOC. LOL

  • cool how he got Luke Skywalker to cover bass for him...

  • This song reached #5 on Solid Gold April 1984.

  • One of the finest musicians to ever breath, also one of the most under-credited. Oh that my generation had musicians like Dan.

  • an uncharacteristically rockin' fogelberg cut, and a damn fine one. the man doesn't always try to really rock but when he does he actually really succeeds. i mean come on... you got COWBELL!

  • Pigeon-toed Dan looks kinda cute. LOL.

  • this dan fogelberg song is one of my all time favorites it's the first time he did a uptempo rock and roll song how ever there's just one problem could you turn the volume up a little please???

  • Hit #8 rock, #13 pop, #14 AC in Billboard, God bless!

  • More Cowbell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Last pop top hiit for Dan. Fittin'ly, it was a rocker. Hit #13 in Billboard.

  • He was rocking in this video! So sad that he died so young...

  • Help me out, didn't mike hanna play keyboards for REO Speedwagon? or does he have a "twin"

  • The bass player is Kenny Passarelli, who came from Elton John's band. The other musicians are Joe Vitale (drums) and Mike Hanna (piano).

  • i remember my friends watching this video in andro's, a bar joint in makati, philippines, way back in the 80's. this is one of our favorite videos being shown there & mtv was just starting to be popular then. i have his cassette with tim weisberg & 'twas awesome. too bad dan didn't stay long with us. RIP dan.

  • This is an awesome video...thanks for providing it to us. I can't wait for his new CD to drop on his birthday on August 13 2009...he asked his wife to release it after he was gone and she has worked very hard on it. She is a huge talent all her own and deserves huge kudo's for her efforts against and for Prostate Cancer. The CD will be awesome!! Thanks again for this video!!

  • I always thought that bass player was John Cougar Mellencamp.

By the way, I believe that the Eagles' Timothy B. Schmitt sang backing vocals on the original version of this song.

  • Real cute of Dan at the end winking his eye at us with that great smile! RIP friend!

  • A powerful song with very friendly ending, that's my Dan! Still can't forget that smile, I also second on the smile!!! Tim, thank you so much to bring Dan back to us!!!

  • Now that was fun!! Look how thin Dan was then...well, I guess we all were back then!!

    Thanks Tim!

  • Thank you, Tim! You've done it again! I love this video! Dan is having a great time here! Love the smile at the end! Hey Amy, wonder what happened to that rose!

  • I second on the smile!!! I believe T. already knows that one, especially coming from me!!That smile, just lightens up that dark spot in my heart.I forgot to tell T., nice touch at the end! 10 stars and 10 smiles!!

  • I haven't seen this video since The Stone Age. ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

As Cheech & Chong would say, "This is reaallly good stuff, maaan!"

  • I was wandering, what you were going to pull out of the old hat! I just love this video! Nothing like black and white abstract, with the touch of red from the rose on Dan's lapel! This video showcased the song and the musicians, nothing else. No craziness and clutter scenes like most were doing at this

    time.

    Happy New Year!

  • Once again you come up with another great performance of Dan's music. As you know, I like to put pictures to Dan's songs, but nothing will take the place of seeing him in action.
