does it keep your hair straight all day long?? i have thick dry ringlets wich go really straight when straightened at first but then after 5 minutes it goes wavey and curves in towards my face and bends to the shape of my shoulders, could you pleasse help me?!! i am a model and i really need the tricks of the trade and i am thinking of also purchaseing a cloud 9 because i have an old diva hair straightener that is reeaallyy old and it just burns and wrecks my hair even when i use heat spray :(

Remington Shine Therapy Straightner have a locking system so that you dont press the random buttons. You press the +/- for a long time and then it locks then you do the same to unlock.

Its not much different from a GHDs. All the little bits about it are a total copycat of ghds- like the adapter plug and swirly cord. Would be nice if you re did this tutorial to tell us if after a while if they lasted you and if they still straighten as good as at the beggining.

hii i was thinkn to get my gf a ghd then hur sister said ohh cloud 9 is beter etc i was like ohh i ned to do sum study.

maybe if it sort of pinch you at the end then u could put like sum black tape on the join then ur finger wouldn get n the middle and pinch you .... bt then it would just look funy bt who cares tho at least u didt get hurt to bt ya good vid .....

I understand that she will be annoyed with the straighteners causing her hair to lack lustre and condition. However, all heat products over long periods of time such as hairdryers, straighteners and curlers are going to strip all natural oils from your hair. Extensive use of heat products are obviously going to destroy and consequently are going to leave you with dead hair. It's all about moderation.

ur so pretty! for the remington straightener all u have to do is hold the minus sign down for a second then it would lock in the settings! to unlock push it down for a sec again.

Great review! I liked the background bit :) Very informative! FHI Heat is also a good brand of straightners, better than GHD I would say as well. There's too much hype about GHD's. These cloud nine ones look good but I don't tend to straighten my hair much really as it is pretty much straight naturally. That double plug idea is cool. Thanks for the vid :)

all straightners do not care for your hair obviously! its a heat product what else do you expect! all you need to do is use a heat protectant and condition your hair regulary.

@CharMckO Whilst heat protectant is important, the temperature you put on your hair obviously has an impact. Because these have an adjustable temperature, they leave your hair in a healthier state than using GHD's would. Of course it is better to use no heat, but if you saw my hair without straightening you would agree its necessary ;)

Do you think you can create curls with the model you have? I like a multi-functional gadget and I had a 1" barrel/plates straightener from Philips (they lasted 3 years) and they straightened and curled really well. Not so sure if I would like the larger one though. Are the mini version narrower - I mean, with no so wide plates? I really interested in this cloud nine ones, lollipop26 also said once they are really good. Thanks for your review x x

i think i have the same remington straighteners as you did, and mine locked the buttons when you held the lower temperature button.. but i could be wrong, and have a slightly different design lol xx
