There are studio versions of Bocelli singing Franz Schubert's Ave Maria, they are better than even i could've imagined. I think Pavarotti's recording from christmas at Notre Dame is the best Ave Maria ever sung though, my opinion.

People who compare him to Pavarotti are retards. You can't compare a "really good" singer with a freaking Superstar. Use some sense people. Pull your head out. He's really good. He's on stage, you are not. Get over it.
I'm a fan of Pauls and I really liked this performance, it was good. He didnt over power the song. But, performing live can be a challenge. Sometimes, we may have had a bad day, or, just not feel particularly well the day or night of the performance.
In a studio performance, most of the performers can lay down a vocal track when they are in their best form.
I love Paul Potts. I do. He is remarkable. But this performance was subpar. It was just soft. Soft and weak. Where is the power in his voice for this performance, certainly not on stage.
Again, i am a huge Paul potts fan, bought the album and liten to it everyday. But this was dissapointing.
One of the most beautiful songs in the world, thank you Mr. Potts.

I respect your opinion, but this song is not meant to be sung with all the power we know Paul has. I think he sang the song well.
