The who concept of sedition and treason has received very much attention over the centuries in English law. To suggest that these concepts are in fact unconstitutional is laughable to say the least.
The problem with Canada is that many of our politicians and other people in positions of power are not monarchists. Some are even openly hostile towards our system of government. This being the case, these people are not loyal Canadians. I believe that despite one's political or religious outlook, one still has to accept that our system is a constitutional monarchy.
I do not think there has every been a single point in history where "the problem with a country" could be described in a single paragraph complaining about the ideology of certain people within said country.
The best bit of Canada being a Monarchy is the total political independence of the head of state, and that another country pays for them! Who could ask for a better system? Canada is indeed the lucky country, and its thanks to the British Monarchy that you ended up that way.
