  • Let I say right off, I don't drink.

    Some Rastafarians do drink.

I do not know that Scratch is a Rastafarian.

Guinness, Dragon, Red Stripe and Heineken is way of life for many Jamaicans. My granny even said a stout (one or two times a year), is a tonic. Carrot Juice or Sour Sop on Sundays, is not complete without a Stout.

I am 99% sure no Jamaicans consider a Guinness Commercial by Scratch a sell out, (in fact Scratch himself is very commercial), when you get right down to it.

  • "Collective brain." He knows what he's on about. You can't have ears as good as him without having a good idea what's going on.

  • Let the poor man get them money!

  • I read your comments:

blah blah blah rasta this rasta that... blah blah blah Perry is selling out to Babylon... blah blah blah you're just ridiculous.

    1) Perry's not a rasta.

    2) Remember Bob said: "A bimma is not the system. Babylon is the system."

    FOOLS

  • my heart and my sides are exploding with love !!!

  • here to collect ths good brains lol

    exactrly

  • Now he IS an upsetter. Selling out to Babylon. Boo!

  • Rasta man dont drink

  • Scratch ain't no Rastafarian.

  • I think this quote best sums up LP's religious views:

"My shit. I respect my shit, because when Im hungry, my shit feeds me. I know that the food that I eat was my shit and still is my shit, and I know that the water that I drink when I was thirsty still is my piss. So I respect my piss and I respect my breath of life. If it wasnt for my shit, I wouldnt be here now, and if it wasnt for my piss I wouldnt be talking to you. My shit is my doctor and my piss is my psychiatrist."

  • When did lee Perry start making commercials?

Does anybody know which country they were broadcast in?

    And yes, he's a sell-out.

  • SHAAZZAAAMmmmm

  • Peace..Man this cat produced some of the best reggae artists amongst others in other genre of music...wow...I guess he needed the money...Still a pioneer/genius. Lee "Scratch" Perry..big up..bless

  • I remember seeing this on Radio Fazuma TV hehe, pure class

  • Liquor is against the Rastafarian's way. Lee Perry is great, but there's no doubt that he sold out...

  • @Pressence101 Thats an ignorant comment everything has a ballance...

To much of a good thing can be a bad thing also..

In moderation alcohol is actually good for your blood flow.. And its scientifically proven...

He is just trying to make money... Dont believe in religious virtues just believe in self survival and providing for yourself...

If perry was to be broke tomorow and had no money or food would you and Jah go give him money and a house to live in?

    No you wouldent...

    ....

  • I'm not even rastafari. I don't think he should be either, but I also don't believe in going against ones own belief. besides if you look you'll see that I'm not the only one with this idea of him selling out for this commercial. It's not like I hate the guy, I just know what I see.

Also I'm going to have to say that you're wrong when you say too much of a good thing is a bad thing. That would compeletely overide the simple fact that it's good. If it was truely good, it would never be too much.

  • @Pressence101 You my friend need to look at the "Ying and yang" symbol...

Everything is based around balance, if something thats trully good for you if you have it to much it will be bad for you..

Aint you herd of football players dying from heart attacks because they are too healthy?

The guy is simply trying to make money, fuck religion it only causes ignrance... go study some science and allow the preaching..

  • everything is based on balance? are you sure that's the truth, because it differs. Do you think that the most extreme evil is anywhere near as powerful as the most extreme good? You think I need to take a look into a yin-yang? I think you need to open your mind to the truth.

  • @Pressence101 Lol what truth are you on about pleasse dont let me start with scientific links and percentages...

Dont try that extreme good, extreme evil bs with me..

"everything is based on balance? are you sure that's the truth, because it differs"

Hello earth toy person dont you realise the meaning of the word balance?

"I think you need to open your mind to the truth."

In all honest i think you need to educate your opinion scientifically and open your mind to reality..

  • Science has lies too, and I'm sure your "pecentages" and statistics are full of them too. Not everything balances. Some things tip the scales. Someday you may see, and no it or not, some things you will see.

  • Sellin' out to Babylon doing this commercial?!

  • What's Iraq got to do with it?

  • @mthai66 lmao wrong babylon dog.. plus that city's been dead for thousands of years

  • i wish there were King Tubby commercials

  • This is absolutely fantastic!
