I always been a fan of malmsteen but lately his albums are alright and doesn't play as cleanly as he use too. But Paul gilbert on the other hand even with age still plays crazy clean. I just don't like his tone(subjective opinion) but then again his technical abilities make up for that.

No i havent. Ill admit, I have no idea what the amp sounds like. I dont particularly dislike his tone, and on the live album its great, I just always thought it sounded too trebly and buzzy on record. That being his mxr distortion pedal that i aint too keen on either. But no, I havent tried the amp, im curious though. Id be interested to see if people still loved the amp if it didnt have the randy name on it though...
