i've heard that before and thought the same thing but now im giving the same reasonable answer for it... this is a tournament with money as the prize. so of course everyone will most likely use high tiers to try and win. not to forget, this was pretty much a mirror match. so the one who is most skilled will win.

Not really. It's more of a preference. Also, the same teams are chosen because it's an equal match-up. Some say MSP is a counter to Santhrax but Sanford proved that theory wrong so I don't know.
