Pluto Enters Capricorn

I read somewhere that when people don't evolve, change, voluntarily because they're too scared or lazy, events happen that force them to achieve the desirable change. I believe Pluto is a specialist of large scale events that affect the masses. Could the oil disaster be one of those mass events that force us to reconsider how unwisely we've been using natural resources and spoiling the environment?

@Khamomil The US solar arc chiron was crossing the US ascendant when the Recent Gulf Oil spill occurred. Chiron is famous for causing illness, injury and accidents that trigger long-delayed realizations.

Having said that, I think everything is more fragile, volatile and inclined to blow up with Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto in Capricorn is a very dangerous energy - at this point in our evolution. Its energy is very intense and relentless and it probes for weaknesses to blast through.

@MercuryRis Short answer: Yes. However, I myself have not connected the astrological dots. I think the oil spill was connected to the US solar arc Chiron hitting the US ascendant in early May. Also, Chiron and Neptune are close together these days. So, there are a lot of things pointing to that oil spill, at least with the benefit of hindsight.

A transit is simply the movement of a planet through a sign. Simple as that. When a planet, Mars, for example, is moving through Aries, Mars is said to be transiting Aries.

Pluto in Capricorn would explain the music industry's restructuring that is going through now. Cd sales are down, and companies are trying to find a new way to distribute music. When Pluto in Sag happened, in 1996, Bill Clinton signed the Telecommunications Act, which gave big businesses opportunity to buy radio stations and thus expand music media, this essence is very Sagittarian. And when Pluto was in Scorpio in 1983, it recovered from it's music slump that lasted about 4 years.

I have thought about this situation only *occasionally.* I have tended to look at it in relation to Uranus's mutual reception with Neptune--technology and music intersection. Specifically, the emphasis on highly insular, self-absorbed modes of music/video appreciation. I think the Pluto/Uranus/Neptune relationship is relevant here. Find some explanations of Pluto's effects that you understand and look for them in your life.

When I discuss this issue with Capricorns or others newly affected by Pluto, I always stress the need to counteract Pluto's intense and obsessive energies.

You should seriously consider studying meditation and relaxation techniques to counter Pluto's intensity.

I am a capricorn (moon in Pisces) and I experienced great challenge on a personal level since around mid November trough end of jan. I am still greatly effected by it. I wish I had looked into in a little earlier ..at least before it happened. The funny thing is that on Thanksgiving (Nov 27) and on the day after I felt great shift in energyand unfortunatly it seems to be on the negative side .. at least it seems like it is for now.

Nov 27 is the day. It sounds like you might want to look more deeply into this whole thing. Perhaps check out some form of energetic healing, meditation, and so on. Right now, Jupiter is still helping Capricorns out. I always try to remain positive. But some things do have to be taken seriously, and a Pluto transit is one of them. So, remain positive and confident, but investigate.

Actually, some years back, when Uranus first went into Pisces, I predicted, along with some other people, that the veil between the dimensions/planes would become thinner with Uranus in Pisces. This seems especially likely with Uranus in Pisces in mutual reception with Neptune in Aquarius. Also, the US solar arc Pluto is slowly but surely approaching conjunction with natal Neptune, close to the mid-heaven. This, too, seems to indicate the growing prevalence of interest in the spirit world.

I, for my part, would suggest that you consult a competent astrologer for a personal reading.

Generally, Pluto in Capricorn is a fairly harmonious placement for Scorpio--if anything related to Pluto could be considered harmonious in the strict sense.

Interesting about the year 1912. Being an amateur historian, that year was one I picked as part of "the four most important years of the twentieth century. They were 1912, 1946, 1966, and 1992.

1912 was the year that it was decided that urban life would dominate country values and living. I didn't realize there was a pluto connection.

The current Pluto transit is a motherfu**er of all-time. It's been the biggest thing in my life, and the entire transit isn't even 1% finished.

Pluto is also about transformation, enpowerment, and "the millions (people)". When Pluto changes, everything changes along with it. The only reason I put that it's loss of innocence is because Pluto is about growing up and when Pluto is in a sign, everything about that sign transforms and alot of the time the "negative" side of that sign is shown. When Pluto was in Sagittarius, we saw the dark side of religion (Priest abuse young boys), and travel (airplane industry). I can post anywhere I want.

I would say that all Sagittarians will be breathing a big sigh of relief with Pluto i Capricorn--at least on a personal level. HOWEVER, Pluto will be in Sag from mid-June to late November because of the Pluto's retrograde.

I have only scanned conditions for August and have come to no firm conclusions. But we will be dealing with Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto retrogrades, two eclipses and an extra new moon. And there's that pesky T-square between Pluto, Saturn and Uranus in mutable signs. I'm thinking big, big decisions, made partly in slow motion, partly under heavy pressure, some delayed reactions, some immediate reaction/response, lots of unknowns, many points of no return. Confusing, yes?

Oppositions are unstable and, depending on the ingredients, explosive. T-square's always seem to me to act like stonewalls, blocking all progress indefinitely, pretty much forcing a major detour.

That makes a lot of sense. Oh, no, a T-Square is not one of the things I need at the moment! I had enough blockages in the last few years to last me for a lifetime, until last year, I became very sick and almost died and since then, things have improved quite a lot (especially since Sagittarius moved from Pluto).

Well, this T-square will affect everyone, so well have lots of company. You mustn't panic or worry overly much. Just take it one day at a time and don't force any decisions. Basically, you should take the attitude that the planets are going to through us a lot of curves, so there's no point in planning too far ahead. On the other hand, neither should we stop working toward our goals.
