  • lights are all on so some one with a half of brain would know it is night

  • Incredible. Hard to tell but some of those waves have got to be at least 20 feet high! I'm glad the crew survived this but they must have been totally exhausted afterwards.

  • That is soooooo NOT the MV Caribou. Sucks either way if you were one of the people stuck on it.

  • That is awesome. I cant believe they set sail in such conditions !

  • oh gud sjönk den där båten sen eller?

  • i would love to sail in that

  • I would not like to be in this ship...

  • Whereever it is, the skipper must be a madman to go out at all....

  • It's better to be out at sea than moored to something while the seas are like that. At least you can keep the ship moving with the bow into the seas. Usually it's the right thing to do.

  • new zealand

  • Sure, yes -tharak says so a few lines further down. I believe him !

    But thanks ;-)

  • lol no probalo!

  • Why the hell did it even go sailing anyway?

  • @123010 its not a big deal sometimes it helps

  • this is not the caribou. That is nowhere near newfoundland!!!

  • I dunno but im pretty sure its the ex Caledonian MacBrayne MV Suilvan which used to sail from Ullapool to Stornoway in Scotland.

  • yes you are correct

  • this is the Suilven Ex-Cal Mac Stornoway ferry after she was sold. This was taken coming out of Wellington NZ going out into Cook Strait heading for the South Island port of Picton Note she is in the colours of Strait Shipping NZ and not Cal Mac. Weather is often like this in the Cook Strait.

  • Its actaully the Northlink ferry to the shetland isles in scotland, been on it many a time

  • This is one of the bluebridge fleet leaving Port Nicholson harbour Wellington NZ. This video is regurgitated occasionally and the day in question was an exceptional storm with swells at 9 metres. Credit should go to the guy at the NIWA who originally shot the footage.

  • this is not the MV Caribou or even in Newfoundland

  • I agree 100%. sneeblenz is correct from what I can tell.
