@3Sephy No live concert is as good as a studio recording, where you can splice, edit and fix every mistake. Except maybe for the modern pop tarts that lip sync to the CD since they are not sober enough to remember the lyrics. You try making a record then do a live show yourself. Let me know how it goes for you. God bless those with the confidence and talent to stand up live and play for you critics who can't even come close!
@victorvents i didn't mean to give offense, I've been a fan of there's for as long as I can remember. Just cos I didn't think this one preformance was amazing does not mean I hate ALL live preformances. I actually love going to gigs and seeing people preform live, just because we share a difference of opinion on this ONE video does not mean you can judge me. I'm not a critic I just had one opinion.
I woke up this morning, sun shining.....with this song playing in my head.....42 years after first hearing it. Love Blood Sweat and Tears.....glad to see they are still around! Thanks for the memories, guys!!!!!!
Not sure where tonywsmith2 has been for the past 50 years, but David Clayton Thomas is hardly a wannabe. He is one of the most successful voices from the Rock Era and any musician of any note - and any race - would tell you so!

I'm looking for a word here, and torn between saying this "stinks" and this is
"poop," but fortunately, I'm able to escape the drudgery of listening to this black wannabe croaking and dragging his ass through the mud, run to the musical
medicine cabinet and treat myself to a tune with a similar title "Hi De Hi De Ho"
by, alas, Cool and the Gang. Jesus, that recitation at the end of this flatulence
is murder. Geoffrey Goffin must have been loaded when he wrote the tune.
damn, can David CLayton Thomas sing! .. a truly delightful showcase of his incredible talent.. carried the performance, and the crowd himself.. as has been said before, one of the best best blues pop singers in music!
there was mention of screech trumpet - in later BST bands, Dave Bargeron has been seen to do screech trombone and tuba, incredible high and super cee's from base cleff instruments!
Thanks for posting this! Just for the record, the members of the band are: Larry DeBari-g, Gary Foote-b, Neil Capolongo-d, Glen McClelland-kbd, Jerry Sokolov-t, Steve Guttman, t-MD, Chuck Fisher-ts, Charley Gordon-trom and David Clayton-Thomas-v.
First and foremost.....David C Thomas is one of the best male blues singers in pop history. No argument.
But......I'm spoiled when it comes to the brass.
I've heard way too many Maynard Ferguson and Buddy Rich concerts, where the trumpeters play in octaves higher, with ease and power.
It's painstaking for me to hear a couple of trumpeters trying to hit notes that aren't even considered all that high, and they strain like it's almost impossible.
What a rendition, blows me away everytime

@Perreir
Can David Clayton Thomas sing . . . you're asking the question seriously?.
No, obviously, but Darryl Hall certainly can, and so could Jimmy Beaumont and
Donny Hathaway and Felix Cavaliere.
Forget this guy. His deliveries slow and contrived, check out these real singers, and enjoy. (Eeks, the last notes in this video are wretched!)

@Perreir yeah, he can sing.. I love his styyle

I'm quite sure carole king wrote this...and as great as she is, david does a better job singing this...though the studio version is better.

That's hurts a song like this for me.
