Great post. The song was indeed Elvis' very first single, but it was a cover of a song by Mississippi bluesman Arthur 'Big Boy' Crudup, although the arrangement is very different. This is clearly an improvised thing, taking lines from other old Blues songs too. Thanks for the post, however long it may last...
Love the comments at the end of this video! Thanks for sharing...I don't have an MP3 player and I rarely buy CDs anymore, so youtube is my primary source for music these days. Thanks again.
@ascampyboy Thanks, enjoy it while you can SONY's probably going to delete it when they find out. Say could you tell me when Dylan did this song? I have no idea I just found it one time :P
@theorangebox999 Well, I have the same version on two different bootlegs. One says it's an outtake from The Freewheelin studio sessions, the other says it's from the Another Side sessions. I reckon the piano sounds like Black Crow Blues from Another Side, so I think it must be from that album's sessions. There is a terrific version on the Dylan/Johnny Cash bootlegs too.
Vocals are just ok..but that Piano..is awesome..wild..is that Dylan on Piano?

@PatricknAdam I'm well aware it's not his song, but that's the cover I listen to. Hence why I said an 'Elvis song.'

I've got another rare song on my profile. I wish it was this popular. Most people haven't heard it.

No, it's an Arthur "Big Boy" Crudup cover, which Elvis also covered.

It's probably around when his single "Mixed-Up Confusion" came out in 1962 because its said he recorded this song around that time.
