  • nice pad!

  • "OSCAR!" lol

  • 1080p for the win :)

  • those are the same stools as the ones in the red velvet cafe in vegas

  • Look at his picking fingers... really look at them. He makes it look so effortless.

Like, seriously, I even play guitar and I have no idea how he does it!

  • @musicismyfavorite777 he uses every fucking finger basically, i don't get it either, i've tried, and it's so difficult. he really is such an impressive player. and he makes it look so fucking effortless! while singing...beautifully...

  • @AccidentAmbulance I know, while learning this song I just now started using my middle finger while I pick, I used to only use my thumb and pointer, but that's almost impossible with this song lol. Not only is he an incredible player/writer, but his skills in the studio are freaking remarkable. The stuff he adds in his songs are just perfectly pinpointed. He knows exactly what to do to fill them out on an album, and yet his acoustic versions are still as awesome.

  • @musicismyfavorite777 totally agree, he knows how to produce stuff and put it all together so well. it's almost inhuman. it's depressing that not a lot of people can understand it, a lot of people i've shown him to think it's boring and too slow. but every CD has it's own sound almost, you can hear him evolve. Ghost Town is amazing in my opinion, very different, but I Do Perceive has to be my favorite. Fuck man, i could just talk about his music for hours.

  • Damn it Oscar, why you have to be so cute :c

  • that barking scared the shit out of me

  • the best artist I have ever heard

  • I love the dog bark. adds a nice unexpected moment.

  • i know i should probably buy all the albums. but wheres the best place to start?

  • @matpeachey My favorite by far is "At home with owen." 2nd place goes to "I do perceive." I think those are often considered his best.

  • @amikemoreawesome thanks for the advice! will get those as soon as possible :-D

  • Listener

  • this guy is the biggest breath of fresh air in the music world Ive heard in a very very very very long time. Right fucking on Mike Kinsella.

  • Oscar is a real fucking asshole.

  • It looked like Oscar's barking totally tensed up Mike and threw him off a little. Still amazing performance though, I love how lost I feel in all of Mike's music. One big wandering melody.

  • Brown hair in a Bird's Nest has such a beautiful tone, as for the chord progression, and tonality it has so much more than this song. However, The Armoir is still a beautiful piece. Would love to know the tuning for Brown Hair in a Bird's Next though, seems pretty easy to play.

  • owenmusic. bandcamp.com /track/i-believe#lyrics

  • dear repeat button,

    im sorry.

    apologies,

    nathan

  • Does he cut his own hair?

  • The tonality of this song is so natural and unique. Kinsella is a legend; the most underated artist I know of.

  • this is amazing. can't wait for the new record.

  • mike is a genius, he schools everyone, and no one knows who he is, but in a way that makes him so much better....

  • when is this song coming out!! lol soo good

  • @WilliamGeorgeB16 idk how but i have this song on my iphone xD

  • Mike Kinsella has reall y bad luck for outside factors while playing, there's always cellphones sounding, people talking, babys crying, and dogs barking jaja

  • @Oscaracer one time it was his phone. hahaha

  • A genius. Simply a genius.

  • What's tuning is this in? I feel like I could learn it if I knew that... thanks to whomever can help!

  • @dallaslowderful DGCGAC with a capo on the first fret

  • @gramnegative17 Any interest in tabbing this out? Or if anyone want to tab this out...I would love to but I've never been good at picking out finger picking patterns by ear.

  • good god this song is beautiful... he just continues to surprise me with his song writing over and over.

  • @moogrocker i beg to differ man. Mark definitely has his own style, and i think that a few of Mikes older tracks (possum, everyone feels like you) have a little bit of a Mark Kozelek feel, but Mike definitely branched into his own, warmer, faster tempo style.

  • i fuckin love this song. owen plays the best acoustic guitar licks ive ever heard in my life ever. lol. seriously does

  • feat. Oscar! hahah . As long as Mike Kinsella keeps writing/playing music - than I'll always have something to listen to! *

  • what kind of guitar is he playing?

  • @MrDavisJordan it looks like a Martin.

  • he gets more and more like Mark Kozelek with every new batch of songs.

  • i love this man.

  • .....Pretty much perfect....lol oscar does add a nice touch ;)

  • omgggg he is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuteeee!!!!!!! hahahaha :') blesss

  • gracious guitar playing as well

  • Great song. Feels like I'm just sitting in his house watching him.

  • god he is amazing.
