Do you thnk there was an audio assist on Danny's a capella audition? I doubt he had much professional help as a Gospel singer in his rather small church either. It is evident that the man can sing and can infuse his songs with true feeling. U might not like Christian music and these lyrics could be a little bit heavy handed for today's Christian Music, but go to CD Baby and listen to Zachary Tim's A New Praise. You will hear Danny healthy and relaxed and really a pleasure to listen to.
Matter of fact, I can't think of what they are now, but I have remarked to myself while listening to some of the idols studio sessions, including Danny's, that in one or more places the idols have gotten a greater audio assist on the show, than in their studio sessions...

Okay, this studio version is fantastic. Even the scream (NOT SCREECH!!) is good. Look up the original song, he sounds pretty similar. Danny did good on this, but the Live version wasn't as great.

Anyone who is a musician knows that Adam DOES NOT scream. It's called a high tone/note! He could make it sound soulful, opera-like, or rockish, but it's ALWAYS controlled! Also, Danny put a scream in one song where it was entirely appropriate. Adam puts the identical scream in almost every song, body language and all. What is up with that? Rock music was about real people and real feelings with a real message. Take a look at the Led Zeppelin-Whole Lotta Love(Video)
wth about 72K views. Then compar it to the tour version of Adam. Perhaps u can see what i mean.

Okay, this studio version is fantastic. Even the scream (NOT SCREECH!!) is good. Look up the original song, he sounds pretty similar. Danny did good on this, but the Live version wasn't as great.

Adam didn't lose because he was gay adam lost because he was cocky and annoying and because danny's fans voted for Kris over Adam. Had it been because of his sexuality, adam would have gone back a few weeks into the competition.

He only nailed the scream due to studio editing (lol). I liked Danny in the beginning, and then he got very boring and predictable. Adam is NEVER predictable, and his range is to die for(NOT SCREAMING!). This is what I, and most musicians, ADORE about Adam. He has a beautiful instrument! Anyone who is a musician knows that Adam DOES NOT scream. It's called a high tone/note! He could make it sound soulful, opera-like, or rockish, but it's ALWAYS controlled! His voice and control is UNTOUCHABLE!

I disagree. Sure, there are a lot of high notes, but this song needs a deeper, more powerful voice behind it. Don't get me wrong, Adam is a great singer, but I don't think he's well suited to this song.
