@rlt34: It just BARELY came out like 2 weeks ago. Track is called "Never Alone" & it is on the new ill.Gates album, but you can find the individual track around... That's the advantage of going to live music, being able to hear epic tracks YEARS before they get released!!
went to nola may 6th, saw rusko at the cac warehouse with 1000s of people, then went to the after party and saw mimosa with a few hundred, MIMOSA fucking kills it whereever he fucking goes, as @aceshigh said, i dont understand why rusko is so famous too, i think it might be just little wanna be dubbers who dont know anything about this music but just know the name RUSKO, sorry to talk shit but i was let down by rusko, and i have love for him
@fatphil: I will fully agree 100% with you there. Seen Tigran once, and Lorin only once also, sadly, but it was an epic set, at Snowball Festival this year. & Must say, his connection was felt for sure. Have to see him again in a smaller setting the next chance I have, would be real live to catch him in SF.
But, I will say I prefer Mimosa's production though, it is what my ear catches more... As of late though, I must say that Michal Menert & Paper Diamond are holding my serious attention.
@aceshigh: Caspa & Rusko are similar, they are both just DJ's who do mix a lot of random shit, while occasionally producing a really wack track. Why Rusko is so famous, is some shit I don't understand, cuz all of his productions sound the same & horrible. Mimosa actually has some thought put into his work, and is creating a bit of a new/different sound within the genre. If you can name off every song in here, then let's see a track-list & see how many are his, & how many aren't! Step ya game up!
@altapowskier went to nola may 6th, saw rusko at the cac warehouse with 1000s of people, then went to the after party and saw mimosa with a few hundred, MIMOSA fucking kills it whereever he fucking goes, i dont understand why rusko is so famous too, i think it might be just little wanna be dubbers who dont know anything about this music but just know the name RUSKO, sorry to talk shit but i was let down by rusko, and i have love for him
@altapowskier damn bro y such a hater i love caspa n rusko theres no reason to hate on em...granted mimosa is one of the best producers ive heard but no reason to hate
@aceshigh113: Uhhh, I'm not really sure that YOU know what you're talking about buddy! Mimosa not being a "Producer"? Sorry friend, but you might be a bit mistaken there... Have you ever heard any of his FIVE Self-Produced albums?: Hostilis, Flux For Life, Psychedelic Stereo, Your Love EP, or most recently Silver Lining?!?! Because he PRODUCED all of that shit buddy. Caspa is a joke, all he does is remix shit & it sounds horrible. He's only released one album, & it was wack... >>>
dude. the guy that posted this video has no idea about any dubstep
mimosa is like caspa. both DJ's. not producers. they may produce a couple of their songs here and there. but when they're playing live, they mix so many other peoples songs in. i could name off almost every song in this video as someone else.
except for the last one. cuz i really wanna find out what fucking song that is
and he also played Sweet Shop(Flux Pavillion Remix, with some mimosa flava) When he dropped that track, I thought a pod-racer exploded on stage...not even kidding.
he also played ginger pubes by cookie monsta (not an original) ...i fucking LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE mimosa. best live show i've seen every single time. :)
& @TheMoose 1987: As said, every track in the set was an ORIGINAL production of his that he works hard on creating back in the studio... To my knowledge the only vut played here that he didn't produce was the Rihanna - Rude Boy (TC Remix) joint, & who gives a fuck, that track rocked the place. That's what he was here for, TO BRING THE BASS & ROCK THE HOUSE.
@altapowskier track five is "it aint got a name" by joker, also after that is ginger pubes by cookie monsta, then the rude boy TC remix,,,after that idklol
< is all part of his experience & giving you a different show every time. It's all about what you are trying to see & what you are trying to experience! It doesn't matter who may be "better" or not, everybody is making music that is amazing & altogether a different experience based on whatever artist it is you are trying to see. Sooo, I recommend that you give every artist a chance to provide you with the show they want to produce. We hippies like ALL sorts of music. &, STOP TALKING SHIT FRIEND!
Also, going to have to FULLY disagree with you on the lack of "Originality", Mimosa produces all of these tracks back in the studio, & they are all ORIGINAL productions. (Hahha, except for the Rihanna remix, which you quoted as his, when it is a remix by "TC" look it up here on YouTube) & When it comes to performing in front of 10,000 people like he is here @ RedRocks, you don't want to fuck up, you want pure smooth. Both times at Nosaj I have heard numerous mistakes, which of course is...>
& I still haven't seen another stage performer that has so much connection between the Bass & the audience, when he moves really heavy, the bass is moving too & you feel everything. Mimosa was an experience, just like Nosaj. Why do you think Nosaj is getting so into adding the visual aspect into his shows, A: He's not much of a stage performer, & B: He's trying to do something more intriguing. Mimosa doesn't care about that, he just wants you to feel the Bass & the Movement, & it works...
@altapowskier I will admit that he is good and has a good connection to the crowd, but my man Lorin Ashton of bassnectar is, has, and always will be the reigning champ of satisfying his crowd with his tunes AND being a man of his fans and of the people.
@tombizzurt: Yea mang, no doubt about Nosaj Thing, I've seen him twice & his live experience is WAY more involved & in-depth than what Mimosa is doing live. You will never see the same Nosaj show twice. But that's the whole deal, it depends on what you are trying to see/experience. Nosaj wants to give you something intriguing, where Mimosa just wants to ROCK THE FUCKIN HOUSE. Mimosa is in the BASS delivery business & he wants you to feel the WHOMP.
I just saw nosaj thing tonight and honestly he makes this guy look like a complete clown. Nothing original or soulful about this, just flailing about on stage with a laptop playing a pre recorded set in ableton live, and yes i've used it, it doesnt take much to have your automation play songs that you didnt even make, and then oh play your rihanna remix. The hippies like pop music now, sweet.
@tombizzurt I mean no disrespect by replying it just makes me wonder how you get to play red rocks if all you are doing is playing other peoples music, I see exactly what you are saying, just makes me wonder.
He's got good music and shit, but....I honestly don't see him doing anything but dancing up there. I feel like he's just playing the shit he's mixed, and pretending to do things with his little pads, because he most def doesn't use tables or cdjs...just sayinnn. anybody else notice this?
@candeodevexus really dude?...you know anything about abelton or any of that?? if not, try your hand at it, mix the shit, then tell me how hes not doing anyhting.....granted im all for people doing whatever...but c'mon dude...just because he isnt spinning on tables with wax or cd's....doent make it less of a gift/tallent....those pad you think hes pretending to play with....do yo know what they are and/or do? then shut the fuck up....stop hatin and just listen to the musci. or try it yourself
Yea, he's releasing a new album on Oct. 4th called "Silver Lining" & I'm sure a lot of these new tracks will be on there. One of the tracks in this video is called "Bringing The Filth!" which isn't on any album yet, you can find it online.
He hasn't released all the tracks yet that he's been playing live, has he? I've been looking for two of em with no luck. One of which is where he turns it up to the crazy drum and bass, and what is the track he drops around 1:14 in this video?

@Phlash... Thanks! Love being able to share this shit with y'all. That way those of us who were there can always be reminded of the night, & people who couldn't make it can get a good idea of what they missed!! Haha...
Check some of my other vid's too if you like live music stuff. Peace!
@nsano: I'm not sure myself, pretty sure it's some new stuff. But he's putting out a new disc towards the end of Sept. I'm pretty sure, hopefully it's on there!...
