Now, this is hilarious. This is the ex-USS Fletcher DD 992 being torpedoes during RIMPAC 2008 by the Australian sub HMS Waller. The Fletcher has been decommissioned since Oct 1, 2004. I have the video and pictures of her being towed out to this location for a sinkex. There was nothing "IRANIAN" about this. The Iranians could not even float a ship out this far from the Gulf. I know, I have been there multiple times. IRANIANS ONLY KNOW HOW TO LIE.

This is actually the HMAS Waller (SSG 75), a US Submarine sinking a U.S. Navy ship with a Mk 48 Mod 7 CBASS torpedo during the Rim of the Pacific 2008 (RIMPAC 08) exercise, involving multiple navies off the coast of Hawaii between June and July. This controlled exercise resulted in the planned sinking of a retired US warship. The development of the CBASS torpedo has been achieved under an Armaments Cooperative Program between the United States Navy (USN) and the Royal Australian Navy (RAN).
