Why is this not 3 out of 5, if it's 2 out of 3, players WILL go for destroying all 7 stars the first round, then Fatal KO combo the next for instant kill. I mean, that's why in 2nd minute, Raoh had to go for the infinite combo against Toki so he'll survive that round. Fatal KO makes this game literally a 1 rounder when it's 2 out of 3.

@drzero7 They did play 3/5 for some time to make Toki weaker, but it didn't matter in the end because he was still Toki and because they found more practical bounce setups, so then the metagame was 1st round stars, 2nd round bounce (lol), 3rd round FKO. They eventually changed it back to 2/3 so characters with easy bounces got weaker and weak chars that have less practical bounces at least stand a chance by taking stars and aiming for FKO.

@drzero7 And Raoh would go for the 100% combo no matter what. It's a guaranteed win if you don't drop it, much like a bounce. It didn't really matter that he didn't have any stars left.

It's a Deadly Fist Blow. You can perform these moves only if you destroy the opponent's vital stars (blue boxes under the health gauge) first.

Although you're right. The game is pretty broken (but it's fun nonetheless).
