I have that when i was 3 year old. Well, 2 year old become be deaf then start have Long QT Sydrome. I was 4 year old to have pacemaker machine inside my stomach. When I was 16 year old, they move pacemaker up into my left shoulder, just in case if i end up pregnant but i didn't. Guess What? I'm 21 year old and will be 22 year old next month. I'm lucky that i'm alive, Thanks to God!

I have this. I just got diagnosed today. After watching this I got really scared. When I sleep I feel s weird, I cant explain it. Im nnot allowed tto do anything anymore at school. No field trips, no gym or sports.
@CourtneyM092 i know what u mean about feeling weird when u sleep..I have had this all my life, born with it.. It can be very scary, and especially the sensations in your sleep..please make sure you get to talk to someone (professional) about how this all makes u feel. Blessings.
@somesortanaughty yes. i see a therapist now because of it. I had a heart attack snowboarding last January. I was a little traumatized from it, for lack of a better word. I mean, an 18 yr old dying for almost 10 min, is alarming! hahha
does anyone know where i cam find info on shoet qt syndrym shoot in that vid every 5 out of 7 ppl have it right ok so short qt syndrym 1 in every in every ten million have it and i possible have it
i was just diagnosed with this a little over 4 weeks ago I am 18 yrs old , passed out in the middle of class and was rushed from school to hospital where the long qt and an abnormal ecg was seen in the ER ,i was in the hospital for 11 days and was put on a beta blocker during the last few days of my stay in hospital , sadly the low dose beta blocker did not work and i am currently not on any meds nor do i have pacemaker ,the triggers for me are definatley emotional ones and i have more tests
i agree. i have long qt too, and i thought this was overly dramatic. yeah, i might die at any time, but i only differ from most in that i really know this is a possibility. anyone can die at any time from undiagnosed stuff, or accidents.
my son has this. we found out at age 11 when he was rushed to hospital for passing out he had suffered 3 heart attacks but recovered and is fine today but has strict limits on what he can and cant do!
Sleep is a known trigger in one form of long-QT syndrome, called LQT3. What happens is this: During sleep, the heartbeat is getting too slow which causes arrhythmia (bradycardia).
i didnt know that sleep could be a trigger for long QT syndrome :s
i have that condition but no doctor or specialist has mentioned anything about sleep, anger or stress.makes you feel realy confident to sleep now!!! anyway....its not that bad i suppose.
@castroneves5 Have you thought about Hypertrophic Cardio Myopathy ?
It is very common and Prof. Richard Swanton who is a Cardiologist in London,
estimates that it is present in 1 in 500 of the population. This condition is suggested in cases of unexplained Syncope., your passing out on the bus etc.
the awareness is good but i think this video is very dramatic. if i were a sensitive person i would be afraid to sleep now, which will increase my stress-level.
When u are 45 yrs old, no-one cares anymore about finding out which one of the categories you are..
